Chapter 3

It had been a week since I had seen or talked to Ben outside of school.

I texted Ben.

Me: Hey! When can we work on the project?

Ben: Tomorrow?

Me: Sounds good! Where?

Ben: Your house

Me: Okay

Oh my goodness! Ben is going to come over to my house!

What should I wear? What should I do to my hair? I have a lot to get ready for. To Ben this is just a time to work on the project, to me this is a time to make friends with Ben.

As soon as I got home from school Ben called asking if he could come over now. I wasn't ready, but I didn't think I ever would be.

Ben knocked on the door lightly and I answered it while trying to control the butterflies in my stomach. "Hey, come on in" I offered.

"Nice house" he said.

"Thanks. It's just my us, my mom had to work so we can work on the project in the living room."

"Okay sounds good" he said and then winked.

We worked on the project for an hour before Ben said we should take a break.

"What do you want to do?" I asked.

"I don't know, whatever you want"

I decided we should just watch TV. So we watched some random show that was on. Ben put his arm around me and I leaned into him. We just watched TV until he left, I had a good time though.
