Chapter 2

I've known Ben for three and a half years now. I've loved him for three in a half years as well. Ben has never even paid attention to me. I wish he would.
I finished straightening my shoulder length blonde hair and then pulled half of it back for a more professional look. My parents have always told me the more professional I look the more my teachers will like me. I put on my white and black polka dot blouse on over my bag and went out to the bus stop.
The school day was going great. Then the bell rang and it was time for lunch. I've never liked lunch at school. It's just a time of the day when the different cliques get to sit together. the preps with the preps, the jocks with the jocks, and the geeks with the geeks.
I brought my own lunch. I always did. I don't really want to eat calorie loaded food. Claire got her food from the buffet then came and sat by me. Then Ben came and sat with us that wasn't usual.
"What's wrong?" I asked Ben.
"Shawna cheated on me."
"Oh. I'm so sorry Ben."
"It's alright at least I have y'all."
"Ben who did she cheat on you with?"
"Asher Coleman."
"Your way better."
Lunch ended. Ben met me at my locker probably because we had the next class together. I never bothered to ask though. We walked to biology together, we got put into groups, and of course I got paired up with Ben.
Ben texted me. I wasn't used to that. He wanted to know when we could work on the project. I was busy for the next week.
