Chapter One

Hello, my name is Skylar, I am 17 years old, almost 18 though. I've always wanted to be 18, it's that age where you finally become your own person and no one can boss you around anymore.

so like I said, almost 18, so I am almost graduated. I am a really shy girl, I admit! I am very insecure and I do care what people say about me.

I am not a social butterfly and my parents aren’t exactly rich. Not at all actually, and lately we are having some problems with paying the bills.

My parents keep saying; 'We’ll be okay' but I have a bad feeling about it though.

I have a 2 big brothers, Aiden and Alessandro.

Aiden is 20. He goes to college in Rome so does Alex. Yes Rome! Yes I’m from Italy. Alessandro is a typical Italian name. but everybody just calls him Alex or Alexander.

He is 20 as well, yes Aiden and Alex are twins. Awesome right. they are very protective about me. something that I love about them.

I have also 1 little sister. Bella, she is 5. She is the cutest girl you have ever seen. My mom is Aria and my dad is Dario. Everyone in this family has this Italian name, except for me. but I like my name though.

“mom I’m leaving for school” I yelled before grabbing my school bag and heading towards the front door. I wasn't exactly looking forward to school but it wasn't so bad, it meant that I was going to see my best friend, so that makes going to school a lot more fun.

“sure honey. Take Bella with you. Good luck today” She said. I waved her a goodbye and closed the door behind me and Bella. I always drop Bella off at her school before I go to my own, it's a daily routine.

“come on Bella. We don’t want to be late on our last day now do we?” I said to her tipping her nose with my finger. She laughed, and let me tell you, she has the cutest laugh in the whole universe. It's just so adorable!

“nope” she said popping the ‘p’. I laughed and took her hand in mine as we started walking to school. Bella was talking about her teacher and her class. I was happy she enjoyed going to school.  

I dropped her off at her school and walked farther down the street where my school is situated.i was about to enter the school gate when I was suddenly tackled into a big hug.

“SKYYYY” Elisa yelled hugging me even tighter as before, I laughed, at least I tried since she was almost pushing all the air out of my lungs with her hug.

“hi Eli” I said. “last day of school last day of school!” she squalled. I laughed again with my hyper best friend.

“so any plans for the summer yet?” Elisa asked when we walked through the hallway making our way to the lockers.

“I don’t know yet.” I admitted with a sigh. I've never been the kind of girl who plans things. I just sort of go with the moment.

“what about you? Anything planned?” I asked while I grabbed all the stuff I needed from my locker.

“yes!” she stated in a very happy way. I gave her a go-on-look and waited for her to cheer on about her plans for the summer.

“I’m going to England remember?” she grinned. Of course! how could I possibly forget that? she has been  talking about her trip to London for ages. She is planning to go to college there. 

“Ah right! that's so cool” I grinned back. Elisa was about to say something but the school bell cut her off. I sighed, time to start last day of school!
