Lucy's POV

I was fed up, I couldn't take all the Loneliness in this empty castle. After mom died, dad became a jerk. It's like he only cared about the money. Every time he goes outside for a festival, he was always hurting the citizens, even as far as putting them in prison. Then he tried to make me marry another prince. His name was sting eucliffe. He was an absolute pervert and asshole. When I first met him, tried to grope me right off the bat, not even a "hello". So I slapped him and left.

Dad-..... No I mean the king talked to me about it today, I told him no and he slapped, I swear there a lot of slapping in this family! But anyways, he threw me in prison after that. I already told her about my escape plan. And she completely understood my situation. I hugged her goodbye, and left through the back garden.

So now I'm sitting in the forest freaking out, because I didn't completely think this through. I was in my pink dress with my hair down. I kept walking and walking till I found a small lake with flowers every where. I decided to lay here and think about what I was going to do. Instead I thought about how my mom used to tell me stories about dragons living in forests. I started crying thinking about mom ' mom do you see what's happened to father. ' I thought. I heard rustling in the forest and figured it was a bunny or something. I walked over there, and a red dragon came out! " HOLY SHI- " I was caught off when it put its hand over my mouth. It was bout my height, and kinda cute. I always thought dragons were huge and scary looking. It put its finger over its mouth and said

" shhhhhh, when I let go promise you won't scream. "

did it just talk!? I thought dragons couldn't talk. I nodded in yes. It let go and smiled. I was really confused
