There was a girl
I use to know
She had a bright smile
And talked for a while
She was happy and bright
Until one nightThere was a girl
I use to know
One night she looked up at the sky
She didn't know why
Why her mom
Would only nod
Why her dad
Was always madThere was a girl
I use to know
Her mom and dad only fight
She cries at the sight
The sight of the knife
The knife she used to cut her thighsThere was a girl
I use to know
She went to school
With a new tool
The razor she used to feel bliss
Causing scares on her wristsThere was a girl
I use to know
One night she felt alright
Until her dad took a knife
And made her watch the sight
The sight of him doing something not alright
After that night
She never felt alrightThere was a girl
I use to know
On night she took her life
She was never alright
She wrote a few notes
I'm sorry I didn't say
My mind was messed up
And you couldn't save me anywayThere was a girl
I use to know
