Eyes blue and bright,

shining clearly in the night

Wings spread out, black and bold,

you'd never think him to be this old

Thousands of years of soaring high,

somehow defying the fate to die

He raised the righteous man from hell,

though his name didn't ring a bell

With green eyes that began to weep,

he took him under his wing in a swift sweep

Soaring high into the sky,

forever defying the fate to die

However, he did seem to fall,

all because the righteous man decided to call

He may not have fallen from faith,

but his treason followed him like a wraith

The green eyes once so bold and bright,

fell so silently into the night

Lost to the winds, he hid,

all because of a goodbye that was never bid

He fell because of a profound bond,

staying because of the love that spawned

A symphony of emotions they chose to deny,

also defied the fate to die

He raised the righteous man from hell,

and forever after his name would dwell

Written across his heart in gold,

was a story forever told

Telling of the righteous man raised from hell,

and the angel for which he fell
