"C'mon boy, get up." I heard a rough voice say and felt myself being basically yanked up. My eyes were still fuzzy, I was sure I had a concussion, but when I looked across the strangers shoulder I saw a burning like of...something.
"Uhh." was all I could get out, I was still extremely messed up from that fall. I couldn't see him clearly, due to a combination of snow, darkness and that fall, but what I could see was that he had somekindof crazy backpack on his back. I felt him put my arm around his shoulder, but the backpack he was wearing was cold, like metal, and every time he took a step I heard a sound like metal hitting metal. Was it possible that whatever was onfirewas caused by him?
"W-who?" was all I could manage out, I had taken a really bad fall. I hoped that this person was really trying to help me.
"Don't worry kid, I'll help you out." he said, he sounded older but he had a sort of panic to his voice. Suddenly we slowed down and my vision cleared up enough so I could see a little. I realized then that it wasn't just my head injury that hindered my vision, it was the fact that the snowstorm had thickened even more. White, powdery snow flew around us, and we kept heading in a certain direction. Suddenly I saw a huge building came out of the snow, it seemed abandon.
We slowly made our way to the doors and he let go of me, I stumbled a little but then straightened out. He opened both of the doors and pulled me inside, he quickly slammed the doors shut. I stood there and looked at him, he had his head on the door and was holding them shit. I took a look on his back and saw that my idea had been right, he had a flamethrower. He turned around and looked at me, he looked like a hobo to be honest.
"Follow me, we'll talk when We get there." he said and walked past me, I don't know why I followed him but I did. For some reason I felt like he could be trusted, that he really was trying to help me. I looked around as we walked and noticed that this building wasn't in the best of condition, huge chunks of stone layedon the ground and holes littered the ground. I thought about where we could be, but I had never seen this building in all the time I had known Josh. At that moment, Beth crossed my mind, I stopped. The man noticed that I had stopped and turned around to look at me.
"Where's Beth?" I asked him, even though I felt I knew the answer. He gave me a look of sincerity.
"She's gone boy, I'm sorry." he told me. Now my thoughts were confirmed, she was gone. A tear fell from my right eye but I sucked it up and followed him, I had nothing to lose anymore. We came to a door that said 'Chapel', the man pulled out a punchcard and slid it into a slot next to the door. I heard a click and the door slightly swung open, we both entered the place.
When I saw the sign on the door saying 'chapel' I had assumed it would look like a church, but I was wrong. It looked more like a hideout than anything else; in the middle of the room was a couple pieces of furniture, couches and tables, and it seemed like a home. Looking on the outskirts of the room I saw huge fallen pieces of rock, just like the lobby. Then I saw two dogs looking at me, they quickly ran at me and proceeded to sniff me out.
When they were done I looked over at the old Man, who was sitting on the couch smoking a cigar. He had taken his flamethrower off and was wearing raggity clothing, I took a look at my own clothing. My black trench coat was covered in snow, my boots too, my black sweater had a little bit of dirt, same with my pants. To be honest I didn't care, I had lost the love of my life. I walked over to a chair that was opposite of the man, he looked at me than puffed his cigar.
"Who are you?" I asked him quickly looking up at him, he looked at me curiously.
"Call me Victor, just Victor." he told me and took another puff from his cigar. "Now what's your name boy."
"My name is...Alexander Zeno." I told him. He nodded then sat up and leaned towards, his breath smelt like a mix of alcohol and cigars.
"Alright Alaxander, tell me your story." he told me, I looked at my hands and decided to tell him everything. I looked into his eyes about to tell him but I paused....should I tell him or tell him I'm going back to the cabin?Remember your decisions affect the future
