So today's the day that Nathan fyfe was coming back to Lake Grace after being in the big busy city of Perth. We lost contact a few weeks after he left the wheat belt but he did come back every now and than to see his family but, than he was off again the very next morning. He was now playing for the Fremantle Dockers and I got to admit he was a pretty good player considering that's all he did when he was back home.
The morning dragged by slowly as a few customers came through the small local IGA I worked at. The automatic doors opened letting a hot breeze hit my face, a very attractive boy walked through, grabbing a blue refrigerated gatorade before walking over to the till.
"Thats $2.50". I smiled looking up at him.
He handed me the correct change, before opening his mouth to speak but than quickly closing it.
"Thank you". He smiled, before walking out the door.
When my shift ended, I decided to walk home as my Family was probably helping the Fyfes set up for the welcome home party for Nat, which probably wasn't a surprise since they haven't caught up since Nathan left.

When I got home I quickly jumped into the shower, washing my hair from the long, sweaty day, than changing into a crop top, a pair of white high wasted Jean shorts and pairing it with a set of black vans. Grabbing my set of keys from the kitchen bench, I set down the road to the house that I once called my second home.

A couple minutes later. I was soon met, with the familiar house. A couple of cars parked at the front and a small amount of chatter could be heard coming from the backyard. Slowly walking up the steps to the front door, it was immediately swung open to be met with Nats younger sister Sheridan.

"Long time, No see". She smiled, pulling me into a hug.

"Yeah, Haven't seen you in ages". I smiled back.

"Nats been talking about you, ever since his got back here".

"Oh, really". I replied surprise.

She opened the door further, so I could walk in. Entering the kitchen, I was greeted with Nathan's Mum and Dad, both giving them a hug and having a small catch up that has been happening since the last time I saw them.Even though Lake Grace is a small country town, Its sad how I never ended up bumping into them at some point which was really disappointing .

"Nats just gone with Liam, to get drinks for tonight". Christine said.

"Thats alright , I think I'll just hang out the back". I smiled.

A few minutes past and aloud cheer came from the inside, drawing my attention away from my phone. Family and friends gathered around the boy who I once called my best friend. Liam walked outside dumping a cold bag of ice in the esky than loading it up with a bunch of different beers him and Nat bought.

"His waiting for you". Liam nodded towards his younger brother.

I walked inside only to be met with the same blue eyes from today at work, he sat on the dark leather couch watching every single move I did. I guess it would be kinda easier talking to him considering everyone went back to what they were doing.

"Hey". Nat smiled, Pulling me into a hug.

Oh my god

"Oh my god what?". He replied pulling away a bit.

"Oh did I say that out loud". I smiled shyly.

"Aha yeah, I missed you though". He smiled, pulling me into another hug.

"I missed you too".

we stayed there for awhile, enjoying each others company. My head resting on his chest, I missed this, I missed being how we were when he was back home, but its been years since than.
Its weird knowing how much his changed, his not the same Nathan I knew when we were both 13-14, he has let his hair grow a bit more longer than usual, his more mature and his really cute, not saying he wasn't cute back than because he was. Well Duh.
