Safe House

I woke up still in Steve's warm embrace. We were still on the jet but we were landing. "Where are we?" I asked staring at Steve as he rubbed my arm calming me down.
"We are at a safe house" He answered before helping me up. We walked off the jet and towards a beautiful house. I was still a little weak from earlier. We arrived at the front porch and Clint opened the door.
"Honey! I'm home" Clint said as a women with chocolate colored hair entered the room with a smile.
"This is an agent of some kind" Tony said.
"Gentlemen, this is Laura" Clint introduced us to his wife.
"I know all your names. Except for you" she said pointing to me. There was a sound from the hallway and two children came running toward Clint.
"Oh, Incoming. Hi sweetheart. Hey buddy!" Clint said hugging the kids, "How are you guys doin'? Look at your face! Oh my goodness!"
"These are... smaller agents" Tony said.
"Did you bring antie-Nat?" asked the little girl.
"Well why don't you hug her and find out!" Natasha said going towards her. The little girl was happy to see her and ran to hug Natasha. I smiled at the children. Natasha walked over to Laura.
"And how's little Natasha?" Natasha asked holding Laura's pregnant stomach.
"Actually, it's Nathaniel" she said.
"Traitor" Natasha said to her stomach. One of the little kids looked up at Thor. The girl looked at me with a smile.
"Hi! I'm Lila" she said.
"I'm Madison" I said bending down to her height. She reminded me of myself when I was little.
"That's pretty" she said I saw Clint smiling at us.
"Do you want to play with me?" She asked.
"I'd love too" I said as I followed her up the stairs toward her room. She sat down in front of a little wooden dollhouse that I'm gonna guess Clint had built for her.
"Did your father build this?" I asked sitting down beside her. She nodded her head rapidly.
"Do you like it?" She asked.
"It's very beautiful" I said smiling as her hazel colored eyes sparkled with happiness.
"Do like coloring?" She asked.
"Yes I do" I said as she grabbed a coloring book and let me pick out a page. We sat there coloring for about 20 minutes.
"Are you an Avenger?" She asked, I looked over to her and smiled.
"I guess I am" I said handing her the picture I colored.
"Can I call you Maddy?" She asked.
"Of corse you can" I said.
"Let's play outside" she said as Laura walked into the room with a laundry basket.
"Lila I think Madison should get changed into some comfy cloths" Laura said as I stood up and she gave me a t-shirt and shorts.
"Thank you" I said with a smile leaving the room to take a shower and change. After changing my cloths I joined Lila outside at a swing set. Steve and Tony were cutting wood. I waved to them with a smile. Steve waved back kindly while Tony ,being himself, he started waving his hands around like an idiot.
"Push me!" Lila said as I pushed her gently on the swing. She reminded me so much of myself when I was little.
Flashback
Pietro and Wanda were trying so hard to raise me. Pietro was now 15 and so was Wanda. I was 5 years old. "Come on Pietro!" I said pulling on his arm as we ran through the streets.
"Slow down Madison. I'm not as fast as you are" Pietro said laughing as Wanda followed behind us quickly. Pietro picked me up and put me onto his shoulders.
"Ah the Maximoffs. Welcome back dear" said Margret as we entered her bakery.
"Hello Mrs Ryan" Wanda said as Mrs Ryan laid out three pastries for us. I hopped off of Pietro's shoulders and took one of the pastries. Strawberry cake. I took a bite and it melted in my mouth. Mrs Ryan had the best pastries.
"Thank you Mrs Ryan" I said with a mouth full as Wanda and Pietro grabbed their treats. Pietro gave her two coins and then we left the bakery.
End of Flashback
Lila went off to go help Clint and I walked over to see Steve and Tony. "Thor didn't say where he was going for answers?" Tony said as I tossed Steve a piece of wood.
"Sometimes my teammates don't tell me things. Kind of hoping Thor would be the exception" Steve said.
"Yeah, give him time. We don't know what the Maximoff kid showed him" Tony said.
"Wanda" I corrected making him roll his eyes.
"Earth's mightiest heroes... pulled us apart like cotton candy" Steve said.
"Seems like you walked away alright" Tony said. Steve stares at Tony.
"Is that a problem?" Steve and me asked at the same time.
"I don't trust a guy without a dark side. Call me old fashioned" Tony said.
"Wait so you trust me" I said.
"Well let's just say you haven't seen it yet" Steve said.
"You know Ultron's trying to tear us apart, right? And I want to see your dark side" Tony said.
"Let's hope no one sees it" I said.
"Well, I guess you know. Whether you'd tell us is a bit of a question" Steve said.
"Banner and I were doing research..." Tony started saying but Steve cut him off.
"-That would affect the team" Steve said.
"-That would END the team. Isn't that the mission? Isn't that the 'why we fight'? So we get to go home?" Tony said Steve splits wood with bare hands making me jump.
"Every time someone tries to win a war before it starts, innocent people die. Every time" Steve said. It was true.
"I'm sorry. Mr. Stark, Clint said you wouldn't mind but it seems our tractor doesn't want to start at all. Thought maybe you might..." Laura said.
"Yeah, I'll give her a kick" Tony said walking to the barn. I turned to Steve.
"Dark side huh?" I asked making him shake his head.
"Everyone has a dark side" he said.
"I'm hoping no one will see mine" I said, "Hydra caused most of it."
"Use all that anger for the battle against Ultron" Steve said.
"On I will" I said smiling. They have no idea what I'm capable of.
