"We can't be stuck down here for that long!" Wendy squeaked. "We'll be fine, lass." Natsu said.

"But we don't have any materials! No food, no water, nothing for me to heal with!"

That's all Lucy woke up to. She was flat on the cold, wet ground. Her eyes fluttered open. All she saw was a tall deep blue stone ceiling. For a second, she thought she was back in the Merineel Ocean, when really, it was all her head.

"What happened...?" Lucy asked, scaring Wendy a bit. "Practically drowned, but, now we're here." Natsu said, not giving a very detailed explanation.

Wendy rolled her eyes. "Remember that wave trap thing? Well, it sent us down here. It looks like a huge maze right now... Four ways to choose from." She said.

Lucy sat up with Natsu's assistance and looked around. Wendy was right, there were four ways to go. The ceiling was tall above them, the entrances to the different paths curved and open.

Lucy, to be honest, was frightened. With their location, they would never get out! Then, she began thinking about the Merineel again... They all must think she is dead by now!

"We're gettin' out of here." Natsu said, snatching his hat from Lucy's head, which she didn't even realise was there.

Natsu began walking around the huge are they were in, while Wendy and Lucy remained sitting on the ground. Lucy continued to study the place. She looked above them, and saw a hole leading from the top. She guessed that was where they were forced in this place by that wave...

"I don't like this place." Lucy said, crossing her arms. "Me either... I have a bad feeling about it." Wendy agreed, while Lucy sadly looked down at her dress. It was torn and turned a darker color. The dress was so nice when the crew gave it to her...

"C'mon lads, let's get movin'!" Natsu called, in front of the path north from them. "Are you sure it's that way... Captain Natsu?" Wendy asked nervously. Natsu shrugged and began walking down the path.

Lucy and Wendy exchange nervous glances. Then, Wendy helps Lucy up and they began to follow Natsu's lead. But after they almost entered the north path, Natsu came running out.

"Other way, other way!" He exclaimed, running past them. Lucy and Wendy exchange worried glances this time, then look down the path. They followed Natsu's lead even faster this time.

Skeletons with angry red eyes were running down the path, probably after Natsu, and they were fast. Some had swords, some had hooks, and some had some kind of armor.

"What did you do?!" Wendy snapped, running behind Natsu and Lucy, who had taken the lead. "I just walked down there," Natsu began to say, "and bam, skeletons in the millions!"

"But why?" Lucy asked. "I don't know!" Natsu replied.

Wendy began to work out everything in her head as they ran down the south path, skeletons still chasing after them.

If the Merineel stone was taken, a wave of water would wash out the thieves and into this maze. If skeletons where down here, were they meant to take it back? Maybe this place was trying to protect the stone than Captain Natsu had taken!

"Captain Natsu, I think--"

"There's only more skeletons, run!" He interrupted. The trio turned around and ran for a few seconds, before realizing they were stuck.

The skeletons from the north entrance had followed them, and the ones from the south just helped them trap the group!

"Captain Natsu... What do we do?" Lucy asked with fear. She hadn't been expecting this when she boarded the ship a few days ago... She expected maybe a small travel. Not this cave and skeletons! All she wanted was to go home!

"We can't escape this place! All these paths must be dead ends full of skeletons that can't be killed! This was a death trap for the thieves that steal the Merineel Stone!" Wendy exclaimed, backing up into everyone as the skeletons got closer.

"Then I guess there's only one way out of here..." Natsu said. Lucy and Wendy look to Captain Natsu, hoping for a good plan.

"We fight until we are defeated!"
