The continued day was rather boring for Lucy. She didn't expect for the ocean to be so boring above water on a pirate's ship. She had always thought the ships were the most interesting things about Walkers, besides the completely different land they lived in. However, she was beginning to think she was wrong.

As the ship was carried futher atop the ocean waves, Lucy's boredom soon evolved. Though she had began to grow tired from the day's chaotic events, she decided to leave to the deck.

Lucy stood, taking a second to balance after leaving her hammock. She had been staring up at the ceiling for what felt like hours, daydreaming about the Merineel. She hadn't even been gone for a day and a part of her already longed to return. She wanted to see Plue again, swim back to her father and friends.

Quickly, she made her clumsy way up the ship's stairs, wishing to wash away her despair.

Above deck was hardly any different from what she was offered below. The crew was nowhere to be found, it seemed. Gray remain in the crow's nest, his gaze sharp on the mass of water they traveled upon. Lucy, not only wishing to stay out of his way, but scared to accompany him so high up, continued her search.

In just a few more seconds of inspecting the ship, Lucy found no crew members, no captain. She figured they could only be below deck, and made her way back down as quickly as she could. She passed the floor she and the crew would be sleeping in, and found herself in the next room just under it.

"Hey, Wendy!" Lucy exclaimed, noticing the girl standing in front of shelves in the back of the small room.

Wendy jumped, turned quickly and gave a nervous smile, her bright blue hair flowing with her movements. "Hi, Lucy!"

The woman smiled and studied the room for a few seconds more. A table was in front of Wendy, separating the two. On the shelves the small girl was previously tending to were small bottles. Each slim glass container was filled with herbs or small objects Lucy's glimmering eyes objected curiously. Wendy soon turned around to continue sorting through them.

"What do you do here?" Lucy asked, walking closer to the long, wooden table. "I've never seen anything like this before..."

"This is where Levy and I make potions to keep everyone healthy," Wendy replied, carefully taking a vile from the shelf; inside of it was a blue liquid. "Levy teaches me alchemy," she added, shaking the vile gently.

Lucy nodded attentively. Wendy handed the vile to her, reaching as far as she could over the table. The woman took it and similarly shook the vile.

The blue liquid inside sparkled as it swept from side to side with Lucy's movement. Bubbles swirled inside, the small dots of air sparkling.

"Uhm, Lucy," Wendy eventually said, twisting her fingers, catching Lucy's dazzled attention, "may I ask about the stone around your neck?"

"Oh!" Lucy exclaimed, a small smile appearing on her face. She returned the vile to Wendy and continued, "It was a gift from my mother. She gave it to me on my tenth birthday; a month before she passed away."
