After we ate at the food court, Tess had to get back home. We drove in silence. My mind kept wandering back to the little 'incident' at the mall. His eyes...

"Here we are dear." Laura says
sweetly interrupting my thoughts.

"Thank you so much Laura." I reply with a smile. I said my goodbyes and got out if the car and towards the front steps of my house. I got out the house key from under the mat and unlocked the door.

I entered the house flew up to my room. (Actually I got tackled as I walked in the door by my brother and had the wind knocked out of me. My sister laughing her butt off at me.)

"What on earth are you tackling me for?" I ask catching my breath.

"I dunno." Hunter replys.
I just walked upstairs into my room and started on my homework.

*ding dong*

"Vi can you get the door." Mom shouts.

"Okay!" I shout back. I put my math worksheet in my math book and toss it to the side of me and skip downstairs to the door.

I open the door assuming it's our neighbor asking for more baking soda. But no one was there. I look down and my eyes go wide. Holy shit! How on earth did this get to my house??? I picked up the neon orange beanie. It had a note attached to it. I read the note and it said,

"You left this back at the store. -A"

An A? It took me a few seconds to go through who I ran into at the store that starts with an A. Then it hit me.... Aiden! I looked around the yard and the street and didn't see anyone. I smiled to myself and closed the door. I felt warm inside. But why would he buy it for me? Oh my god he even knows where I live!!

"Who was at the door?" My mothers voice made me jump.

"Uh, no one!" I shout back as I race up to my room. I shut the door and tried on the beanie. Damn, i look fabulous! I thought. I immediately texted Tess.

Vi: heyy

Tess: hey, what's up?

Vi: how do I explain this to you easily?

Tess: spill the beans

Vi: uh, so I found an neon orange beanie at me door..

Tess: aaand?

Vi: there was a note attached to it

Tess: JUST TELL ME!!

Vi: calm your tits woman, its from Aiden..

....

Vi: you still there?

Soon Tess's face popped up on my screen. I clicked the answer button.
"HOLY SWEET BABY FLAPJACKS!!!!!" she screams. I flinch and hold the phone way from my ear until I was sure she was done squealing.

"Someone likes you." She sings.

"I'm laughing so hard.... On the inside." I say with a great amount of sarcasm weaved into my voice.

"Uh huh, I certainly hear it.... He likes you." She coos into the phone.

I sigh, "no one would want a girl like me. I'm different than anyone in our neighborhood and school in fact. He would want a girl with money, a hot body, and beautiful face." I add.

"Are you kidding me? Don't give me that crap. Do you not see yourself in the mirror. Your gorgeous! And you have a bikini body due to all the sports you play. Money dosnt matter its what in the inside that matters." She explains.

"Did you just quote that fr-"

"DONT RUIN THE MOMENT!" she interrupts me.

"Geez who lit your tampon on fire?" I reply. She just bursts out laughing and I join in on her.

"Hey listen I need to go down for dinner. We'll talk later." She says ending the conversation. I sigh and said goodbye.

I look in the mirror and see the beanie. Why would he like me?

"Dinner is ready." Hunter chrips from my door.

"Coming!" I say and head downstairs to pulled pork sandwiches. Yum!
