Sorry there was a bit of a break, I was a a convention and so away from a laptop for nearly a week, but i am back and here's the next chapter for you readers.
Isildilia stood there, dumbstruck to the two women who now stood in the shop.
"Grey paw, Xnifo!" she exclaimed upon seeing them, without even thinking. The two of them were stood in front of the desk, calmly waiting for her arrival. But, unlike how she knew them. The two of them were clad in the most elegant of dresses, one delicate blue and the other an olive green. Xnifo's ears were rounded like a human's, as were Grey paw's eyes, but both of them had the same confused expression written across their faces. When Xnifo spoke, Isildilia was taken aback by the posh, rich accent that filtered from her throat.
"Excuse me, Lady Isildilia?" she questioned. "What did you call us?" Isildilia looked at both faces and saw how serious they were.
"It's nothing," she apologised. "It's just been... a long night." Their faces relaxed a little and they both smiled.
"If it's too much trouble we can always return tomorrow," the fake Grey Paw spoke. Keep playing along, she told herself. She smiled widely.
"No, it's no trouble, how can I help you two today?" She settled herself down into her chair, while they both decided to remain standing.
"With the upcoming ball at the palace, my sister and I would like to acquire some new ball gowns. If that isn't too much trouble," she added when Isildilia didn't immediately respond. She looked the two of them up and down. She couldn't see anything wrong with the dresses they were wearing at the moment. They were both beautiful as well as eccentric. Before she even answered, the shop servants, three of them this time, came out the back door to stand beside the desk. Two of them were dressed the same, in simple robes of yellow. The woman in-between had robe of blue.
"She would be delighted," the blue-robed woman spoke for her. "In fact, Lady Isildilia already has two new designs that she would be willing to have made for the two of you." Isildilia gaped at her for a moment, wondering what could have possessed her. The two fakes seemed delighted.
"Excellent news," the fake Xnifo exclaimed.
"Is it the same measurements as before ladies?" she asked casually.
"Of course," fake Grey paw stuttered, slightly offended by the question.
"Then, rest assured. You will receive some of the finest gowns at the event." The two of them addressed Isildilia.
"Thank you, Lady Isildilia. We will pay for your efforts, as per usual. And we hope to see you make an appearance at the event yourself. It has been a while now." Before Isildilia even had chance to compose herself to what was even happening, the two of them curtsied and promptly left. It wasn't until the door shut with a bang did she suddenly realise what just happened and turned to the blue-dressed woman.
"What was that about!" she demanded. The three of them quickly bowed their head.
"I apologise, Lady Isildilia. But Lord Valin instructed for us to do so."
"Instructed you to do what?" she asked. The servant recited for her.
"Lord Valin told us, because of your recent bout of ill health, to make sure you adapt back to your normal routine. That includes making dresses for your highest paying clients."
