Chapter One: Give Love A Try... (Roc Love Story)

"Yo Bri! Hold up!" "Yo Bri! Hold up!"

I quickly turned around to come face to face with Josh, my annoying little stalker

"Yes?" I asked faking innocence, even though I already knew what he was going to ask. It was Friday, so of course he was going ask me out again. He's been doing this ever since the 9th. You would think that he would get tried of rejection and that I would get tried of saying "No!" huh? Well... I did get tried once back in the 10th grade and said yes to a date with him, but let's just say that the date didn't go so well... Well... it wasn't that bad it was okay up to the point where he taught that it would be nice to stick his tongue halfway down my throat!!!! That was a MAJOR no-no and now he wonders why I won't go out with him again...

"Hey Bri! Whatchu doing this weekend?" Josh said with with a smile on his face

It crushed me a little bit inside everytime, when I rejected him. It was sad to see him go from extremely happy too heartbroken. It's not like he wasn't attractive. It's just that he's just a friend in my book. Nothing more

"Um... I'm going to to a sleepover" I replied awkwardly

"Oh... Okay, well text me if yo want to do something okay?" He said as his smiled flipped upside down.

"Okay! Bye!" I turned back round to the direction of my first period class, English...

"Girl!!!! What took you so long?!?!?" My longtime best friend Erica said as I slipped into my first period class

I just gave her a look and she completely understood

"Josh" She said certain of this

"Yes" I said as I shook my head

"When is he gonna get the message that you don't like him like that?!?!!" She said, while laughing

"I don't know. I can't help that I'm so damn amazing" I said in a sarcastic way, while smirking a little bit and wiggling my eyebrows up and down

Erica lets out a quick laugh before looking at me with a serious look on her face "Bri, you really are amazing and any guy would be happy..."

I cut her off before, even giving her a chance to finish. I heard this speech far too many times. I had it about memorized.

"I know! I know! Any guy would be happy to be in a relationship with me. Blah Blah Blah Blah..." I shook my head from side to side in that sarcastic matter of mine.

"Bri..." Erica started again before getting cut off by our AP World Lit teacher

"Bri and Erica! You you mind sharing with the class what the two of you are talking about, since it's far more than important than what I'm teaching" Mr. Bryant said suddenly making Erica and I both jump in our seats. I guess that we were to caught up in our conversation to, even notice how loud we were.

"Um...Uh... No..." I said. I'm not much of a talker in class

"That's what I thought!!!!!!" Mr. Bryant said in his very thick British accent then he continued preaching. I mean teaching the beautiful English language, while Erica and I struggled to maintain our composure threw out the rest of the lesson.

Lunch Time

"Bri!!!!!!!" My very best friends said as I approached our time in the middle of the Cafe with my lunch.

"Hey y'all!!!! I said returning the greeting, while sitting down and digging into my delicious hamburger and fries

"Bri, I need some of your wonderful advice" My dear friend, Victoria said, on the bridge of tears

"Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww... poor baby." I said, while frowning "What happen?"

"T-Tony" Was all she was able to say before fulling breaking down.

I knew that it had to be that stupid Tony!!!! He was her on and off again boyfriend for the past four years. I got up and tried my best to comfort her with the rest of my besties for the end of lunch before we all had to go our separate ways...

After School

After lunch I went to my fourth, fifth and sixth period before the official end of the school day. Well... not for me. I'm on my school's newspaper as a reporter, writer and editor in chief and on top of that I'm on the basketball ball team in the winter and track team in the spring. It may seem like a lot, but it's not when you have your priorities straight.

As I was walking to the news room to go over some last minute stuff for the broadcast tomorrow, I looked up from my phone for a quick second to see one of the most hottest guys that I've ever laid my dark chocolate brown eyes on. He looked like he come be a model. I looked up from my phone once more to see him still walking my way. I was unsure, so I just stopped and bended down to re-tie my already tied shoe. As I was tieing my shoes I noticed a figure stop right in front of me. I looked up as I tied the knot on my right shoe I looked up to see the mystery guy that I've never seen before a couple of moments ago scaring down looking at me flashing his pearly whites.

"Hey!" Sexy boy said, while helping me up and continuing to flash his beautiful white teeth.

"Hi..." I said awkwardly

"How are you doing beautiful?" He said once again flashing his pearl whites

Did he just call me beautiful?

"Uh... Yeah I did..." He laughed

I laughed. Sometimes all you gotta do is laugh to make a awkward situation un-awkward. "I'm fine and you are?

"You sure are" He mumbled before doing a quick over

I saw him scaring, so I shy into a cute, but hopefully sexy pose.

He extended his hand towards me and said "Roc" is his deep sexy voice of his

I smirked already knowing that that's not his real name, so I decided to play with him a little bit

"So ... Roc" I said, while twisting a strand of my hair before letting it go "Do you wanna be my Rock?" I added with that flirty smile that I've been practising, so much in the mirror lastly

" Sure ... only if you let me" He said before walking away. Leaving me standing there with a confuse look on my face...
