                CHAPTER TWO
"How do you normally get home?" Will asked. "I uhh I normally take the bus home" I replied, still in awe of what just happened. "I'm driving you home today" Will said. "I uh- I- I okay" I stammered. "Do you have all of your things or are there some stuff that you left in your locker?" Will asked. "I have all of my things right here" I replied, pointing to my messenger bag. It mostly had drawing notebooks. When I was young people called me by my full name, Arthur, but around first grade when I was constantly drawing and was better at it the most of the teachers, people started to shorten "Arthur" to "Art". "Come on, let's go" he said, and just walked away. I had to almost jog to keep up with his fast pace. When we got to the parking lot when headed towards a really expensive looking car. I've never really been good with cars so I couldn't tell your the model or the year or anything like that, just that it looks really expensive. "Is that yours?" I asked as we approached. "Yeah, I told my parents I didn't want anything really flashy but they wouldn't listen" Will answered. "Are you parents rich?" I inquired. "Yeah, well no, it's complicated and I don't really want to talk about it" he replied. "Oh okay, I get it" I said disappointingly. He opened the driver side door and got in. "Well, are you coming?"  he asked. "Sorry" I got in and it was so fancy. There was really nice leather seating and a console that was super high tech. We sat there in silence for several minutes until we pulled up to my house. "Hey, Josh is just a giant dick, don't think to much about his words, he definitely doesn't" Will said as I opened the door. "Yeah.." I said. "Thanks for doing that back there, it was really cool of you." "It was to long for someone to be that awful and not be called out on it." He said. "And also your a pretty cool dude yourself who doesn't deserve that stuff" I was quite flustered. I've never been able to take compliments well and when I do I can't speak at all. "O-oh, o-ok th-thank you. B-bye" I said and hastily got out of his car. I unlocked my front door and ran up to my room, jumped on my bed, and hugged my pillow, and though about what just happened.
