Heather's Point of View
"So as you know that the digestive system is one of the most..." Mr.Thompson continued but I had no interest in listening to everything I taught myself already. I focused on the medium sized window across the room. It was a perfect spring afternoon in April. The birds were flying, the sun rays were shining perfectly onto the freshly cut green grass, and I was stuck inside, bored out of my mind. The bell quickly rang and I gathered my stuff. "Don't forget, we have the last chapter test of your senior year next week, good luck kids!" Mr.Thompson said as all the students began to shuffle out of the classroom and into the narrow, locker occupied, hallway.
I quickly stuffed my notebooks into my bag and pulled out my phone and car keys. I walked to my car which was not too far just at around the corner of the pillar connected to the school building. My car is just a medium sized red car with a convertible roof and has a cream color interior which gives it a luxurious but comfy feel. Before starting the car I quickly dial my moms number to let her know I would check our mailbox before I came home. I took a short trip to the mailbox and got home.
"Hey mom!" I sprang to my mom and gave her a little hug before setting the mail on the kitchen island. "Hey Heather, could you do me a favor and sort out the mail and divide it into two stacks, one for me and one for your dad please?" Mom asked. "Sure" I answered grabbing the pile of mail and heading to the living room so I could shuffle through this monstrous pile on the table.
Mom, dad, dad, mom, I shuffled through the pile and finally got to the last one after what felt like a century but only had been about twenty minutes. The last one was a large deep orange colored envelope which seemed overly stuffed. I read the top, and "Oxford university" was written in bold letters."O-oh my god" I said in a shocked tone. I opened it clumsily, as fast as I could without ripping everything apart. "Dear Heather, Congratulations! We are pleased to inform you that you have been chosen to be a part of our class of 2020!" I kept reading. My eyes glued to the paper until the realization finally hit me, I WAS GOING TO OXFORD!
Authors Note: Not sure if this is good or not but I've been feeling so creative lately and never really get the time to write, all I'm saying for right now is that I have AMAZING ideas for this book, not something you'd expect but you'll just have to wait and read! Leave feedback please, Thanks for reading! :)
