Manong's POV
"RAVENAA FOR THREE!" sigaw ng commentator as the crowd rejoices dahil lamang na ang Ateneo! And the buzzer beated that signals that first half-time has ended.
"OBF, GUYS!!" sigaw nitong Lola na katabi ko.
"GG ang matanda!" asar ko sakanya kaya muntik niya na akong paluin sa mukha.
"Manong, Manong. Magcheer ka na lang!" inirapan ako tapos bumalik na ulit siya sa pagcheer.
And that's Thirdy who scored the three. Kanino pa ba magmamana? Malamang, sa Kuya! Joke! It's Ateneo-La Salle game tadaaay! And my Lola and I decided to watch the game because we want to support Ateneo! And we are really having a great view dahil malapit kami sa bench ng Ateneo.
And I can see Laura coming near me and Lola.
"Hi, Kief! Can we interview you? Just a quick one lang naman." sabi ni Lau. I already graduated pero she's still the courtside reporter.
"Sure." sabi ko at tumayo.
Nagpunas lang ako ng mukha, baka may pawis o ano. Nakakahiya humarap sa camera ng ganon. "So, now we are here with King Phenom, Kiefer Ravena." sabi ni Lau sa camera and I smiled.
"So, King Phenom! What brings you here?" tanong ni Lau.
"Actually, hinihintay ko nga ma-interview, eh." the other crews laughed on my statement. "Joke! But I'm here because I want to support Ateneo Basketball Team after all." sabi ko.
"Still the manong Kiefer we all know!" sabi ni Lau. "Share naman who's with you!" sabi ni Lau kaya napa-iling ako.
"Lola ko nga pala!" sabi ko at tinuro yung babaeng naka-busangot ngayon. Pinalapit naman siya ni Laura.
"And with us right now, Queen Phenom, Alyssa Valdez!" kumaway si Ly sa camera.
"So, you are here to support Ateneo Basketball Team?" tanong ni Lau kay Ly.
"Siyempre naman! That's Ateneo and it's Ateneo-La Salle game din naman. We all know na two teams will give a great game sa ating lahat." she answered with her maarte voice and sophisticated letter 'r'.
So arte my lola, 'no?
"Wait, diba ako lang dapat iniinterview?" tanong ko which gained attention to the crowd because we are on the big screen! And many of the crowd were chanting 'kiefly'.
"Kief, any message for the Ateneo team since nagcomplain ka?" sabi ni Lau habang natatawa. Talaga 'to! Nahawa kay Von!
"Ahh, ayun! Keep the faith, boys! Manong Kiefer is always here to support you all through out this season! OBF and hawtong!" sabi ko. Heartstrong yun kaso sabi ni Coach Tai, diba, hawtong! Walang r.
"Aly? Any message?" tanong din ni Lau.
"Ayun, OBF, boys! Kaya niyo yan and always pray to God for a good game. And great things happen to those who wait and who are patient!" sabi ni Ly.
"Lalim ng hugot niya!" tumingin pa ako sa camera habang naka-turo sakanya.
And after that, nag-paalam na kami and got back to our seats. At dahil nabobored ako sa nagpeperform ngayon habang naghihintay sa second half, kinulit ko si Lola Ineng. Kasi, eh! Nakatutok lang sa phone!
"Ano ba, Kief! Kulit mo, ah!" she complained but then I still keep poking her cheeks with my finger.
"Kasi naman, eh! Nakatutok ka sa phone mo!" I blabbed it like a baby.
