Looking out the window
to the world i see.
Hoping it's all mine, knowing it's for me.
That's how I'm doing it
one step at a time,
walking out the door,
waveing our goodbyes.
Cause everything you've ever seen
was an illusion meant for you and me.
Taht is how we're doing it
one step at a time.
Walking down the sidewalk'
new ideas fresh in mind.
This is what i wanted
that is what i need.
The air pumping through my lungs
givin' my heart a fresh new beat.
This is how I"M doing it
one step at a time,
running down my street,
everyone backed outa line.
Saying hellos
kissing goodbyes.
Thinking back to past
Thinking if i did it right.
So, didn't i , didn't I?
Take the right first step.

To look out the window and wonder what was left.
