WANTING A WAY
She is caged
Wanting a way out
Of her own raging thoughts.
Wanting a way out of her shattered mind.
She feels the threads that hold her together
Slipping, ever so slightly.
Her grip on reality is loosening,
Her thoughts frantic,
Her heart racing,
Pounding like a drum.
She wants out.
Out of everything.
