Natsu's POV

My eyes fluttered open due to the sun hitting my face. I closed my eyes and tried to reach for Lucy but felt no one beside me. I sat up and saw she really wasn't next to me. "Lucy?!" i yelled standing up. "I'm downstairs Natsu!" i heard her reply. I slowly walked down the stairs to see Lucy setting up the table with food."i was just about to wake you up" she smiled."thanks" i replied sitting on the table. She nodded and we ate together."so princess how would you like to join FairyTail?" i asked.

Her eyes widened,"Look Natsu... I would love to stay but i cant my father will be furious and attack the guild! I wouldn't be able to live knowing i almost killed multiple people. I'm.........going home after today" she spoke. I felt my heart stop and time froze. I felt like i couldn't breathe as she finished and i just stared at her. "Y-you cant leave! The king will have your head!" i yelled. She flinched scared,"and that's a price I'm willing to pay" she replied."please princess.....

Don't go...we could use you here!" i said trying to find any excuse to let her stay."Listen Natsu I'm grateful but i need to go" she said. I sighed giving up. "Fine but I'm visiting everyday!" i said. She nodded not minding and grabbed the dirty dishes to clean. I watched her from the dining room as the sun hit her face. She had a smile on her face as she hummed her favorite song. I smirked and snuck behind her summoning my wings and tail. I tapped her right shoulder with my tail as my body was on the left. She looked at the right disappointed she couldn't find me. I giggled making her look at the other side.

"Natsu!" she whined smiling. "Yes? Oh do you want me to take you?" i asked. "If you don't mind?" she replied. I then bent on one knee and my right hand over my heart. My head was bowed as my left hand was raised somewhat in the air. "anything for you princess" i said. I felt her smile as she grabbed my right shoulder,"I'm counting on you my dragon" she giggled. I nodded and we both started walking to the guild.

Once we arrived we saw it was more lively than ever. I went to go hang out with the guys and she went to hang out with the girls. "Why the frown flame-brain?" i heard Gray ask trying to pick a fight."its just Lucy wants to go home...i told her the king would be angry not to mention that stupid arranged marriage" i explained. He was surprised that i actually answered instead of a stupid comeback. He sat down," wait why would the king be angry?" he asked."because he's her father....she's having an arranged marriage in a week" i replied in a duh tone.

"WHAT?! SHE'S A PRINCESS?!" he yelled."did i forget to mention that?" i asked."yes you did!" he yelled again. I rolled my eyes."the point is she's going to marry a stranger and i have to watch!" i yelled."you don't want her to go" he said."this idiot...and i thought i was stupid" i thought."Yeah" i replied."soo you love her?" he asked. my face immediately turned redder than Erza's hair. "N-no! She is just a good friend of mine" i replied embarrassed. "sure" sarcastically.

"Anyways why don't you just go with her?" he asked."i cant the king hates me...i will visit her everyday" i explained."but what are you going to do when she gets married and has a family.... She's gonna be sad that she doesn't get to choose her husband or even get a choose to have a choice!" he said. I looked over at her and saw her laughing. "listen Natsu.....don't let her get married. Take her home, visit her all you want but....she wants to marry you" he said. My eyes widened."why me?" i asked. "Because Natsu she's a princess and you're her guardian dragon... Only you know the true her so at one point she has fallen for you" he said next.

I was about to say something next when a slap was heard. We looked over at the girls to see Lucy on the floor with a red mark on her cheek with Lisanna standing over her. We ran to them,"what happened?!" i yelled. Lisanna then put on a fake face and started to fake cry."Natsu it was horrible! She called me a low life peasant!" she yelled. Erza than looked at her obviously knowing she was lying."Tell me the truth!" i yelled angered she slapped the princess.

She then turned into a face of disgust,"ugh fine. She just told us she was a princess and how she met you and how you guys were best friends. I got angry what she said wasn't true so i slapped her" she explained. I then slapped Lisanna making her fall."Don't you dare slap the princess! She doesn't lie and she would never call anybody a lowlife peasant! She's my best friend so i should know better than anyone!" i yelled. She cowered in fear and ran off. I then turned and bent down to Lucy."princess are you okay?" i asked. She nodded and grabbed my held out hand, using it to stand up.

"Thanks Natsu" she said and backed away scared."princess?" i asked. I then saw everyone else was also scared. I turned to the mirror and saw my red horns, wings, tail and eyes. .my skin was covered in scales and my nails along with my fangs got sharper and bigger. I looked back and they all tried to back away. "I'm sorry....sorry " i said and turned back."its okay" Lucy replied. I then slowly walked out.

Making people move so i could walk down the empty path. I then felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to see a smiling Lucy. "Lets go back home" she said. I gave a sad smile back and nodded. She entwined our fingers together and pulled me to out home."home is where you make it...so tell me Lucy where's your home? ..........its in front of me"
