The dialogue

It's been a decade of hurt,
A decade of retaliation.
Why are people so shallow?
Is my question to life.

Life laughs at my face,
I let out a blood curdling scream.
Why do you give me pain?
What is it that you gain!

Life says,"I am cynical."
I torment the strong.
A scream let out by you.
Is that all you can do?

I smile. I say,
Life. You broke me.
Bullied me. Shunted me out.
Here's a blade. Let me end my rage.

A moment passed. The silence grew.
A sadistic smile was plastered on life's face.
It smiled as though I never knew the case.
I flung the blade.
And laughed outright at life's face.
"Try me!" I grinned. "I ain't giving up. This is not about you. This is about our battle. And I will fight till you get defeated. Defeated for making me cry. Defeated for the shambles left. I am not the figment of my past. I am me."

A calm smiles appears on life's face.
This was the test. This was your phase.
You have defeated me.
And earned my praise.

I agree I am not a bed of roses.
But I am what one chooses.
Let's end this game.
You have earned my respect and your name.

A/N- Hey all! Thank you so much for reading this. This was my first try in poems. Please suggest me areas to improve.
Cheers.
