My heart lay bleeding,
My pale skin scarred,
My thoughts faster than a racecar,
Screaming they're battle scars.Memories now cease,
As I pick up the last piece.
My soul filled with grief,
Just for a moment brief. There was a time,
When she was mine.
When I could bare my heart,
And knew she wouldn't pass a retort. She moved on with time,
But I wasn't fine,
For she ditched me,
And the friendship we keep.Lost were four years of memories,
Lost these memories to mind's cemeteries.
I once treasured her dearer than life,
But "these are battle scars" reminded life.A/N- So this poem is for all those who could relate to the separation from a best friend. We use tags like "best friends forever", oblivious to what's in store for us.
My dear Wattpaders, stand for your friends and cherish each moment spent with them. :) It does make a difference.KY
