"ELI!"

"Yeesss." I said answering my mom.

"We have to go now."

"Whyy I like it here." I groaned as I grabbed my bags and headed to the door.

"Too many memories here." She mumbled.

This year so much happened. My mom lost a child, my dad left us and my moms job is moving. I think this will be good for us honestly. But all of my friends are here. It's just time for a better change. Preferably farther away from here. Today we will be catching a plane to Sidney.

The ride to the airport was boring. Passing all of the houses was boring. Getting donuts, slightly less boring. Going through baggage check was boring. Going through customs was boring. Finding our gate was boring.

My mom claims that we have to arrive at the airport 4 hours before our flight. It only took us an hour to get through everything. So now I have 3 hours to do nothing.

I decided to text my best friend Ana. It was already 8 in the morning and she gets up early.

(Nickname for Ana)
Eli: uughhh help me I don't want to leave😢
Mona: it's for the best you know that.
Eli: i guess but what's so great about leaving you behind?
Mona: beth look at it this way, there is nothing left for you here in Cali. You get a clean fresh start in Sydney. And plus I can have an excuse to go to Australia. 😂
Eli: I guess you're right. But you really want to be on a 15 hour flight? Well I'll text you when I get there. 👽

I plugged in my earbuds turned on my music and decided to walk around the airport since I still have like 3 hours left. I walked to starbucks. They better have Starbucks in Australia or I'll die like I'm not even kidding. I walk into Starbucks and inhale the magical scent of coffee. I scan the menu to see what they serve here. Umm.. I think I might get a strawberry and creme Frapuccino.

I felt somebody stand next to me.
"I love the smell of coffee." A deep Australian accent spoke.

"Same." I replied. I turned my head to see who this stranger was. He had faded pink hair. He had scruff from not shaving for a few days. He had beautiful lips and the most mesmerizing green eyes.

"I'm Michael." He said extending his hand.

"Elizabeth." I said smiling.

"Are you gonna order?" He asked.

"Uh yeah." I said glancing to the now empty line.

I walked up to the register and ordered. Just then Michael came and ordered his drink when I was about to pay and pulled out his card. He payed and left me with wide eyes.

"C'mon." He said gesturing to an empty table.

"You just payed for my drink!?" I exclaimed.

"Yes and since I payed for your drink you owe me." He said with a smirk.

"Wha- how?" I said. He pays for my drink without me even asking him to then he expects me to pay him back?

"Maybe you can tell me a little bit about yourself." He said with a smile. Still motioning me to sit.

I go ahead and sit in front of him.

"What would you like to know?" I asked.

"Anything." Why is he so smiley?

"Well my name is Elizabeth, I have dark brown eyes. I have dark brown almost black hair with blonde tips. I have olive colored skin." I said.

"Well I see that. Tell me some other things about you besides your appearance." He said.
