Great'. I thought. Tomorrow was the first day of 12th grade. I was absolutely not interested in going. If this year is anything like that last, I'm going to be miserable. I got bullied badly last year, and I don't think it's gonna be any better this year.

I got out of my bed and put on a black Jack Skellington shirt, black converse, black skinny jeans with rips, a necklace with Zero, Jack's dog, on it, and a white belt with black studs. I combed out my brown hair and put my eyeliner on (btw, she has no piercings like in the picture) then put some skull earrings in.

I knew to be cautious when walking downstairs. I couldn't make a big fuss or my parents would get mad. Why such a big deal? My parents are abusive. I've got a fresh bruise on my cheek from yesterday's beating from my father. I don't understand what's wrong with me, but it must be serious if they're trying to kill me.

I quickly got a poptart and headed for the door, trying not to disturb my father. My mother was in bed.

"Payne!" My father snarled angrily. "Come here now!"

I held my breath and my body started shaking. "Yes..father?" I replied, trying to sound polite instead of scared for my life.

"Don't you dare go whining to anyone about how I treat you, got it?"

I nod reluctantly and murmur, "Yes sir."

I headed for the door but he grabbed my arm. "And don't," he snarled. "Think you're not blessed. If I were a horrible person, I'd have you at an orphanage in no time. Don't forget that."

Though I felt like punching him for calling himself a good human being, I refrained and said simply, "Yes sir." Then walked to my bus stop.

See, like I said. Not very pleasant, is it? Well, I've learned to survive. Just don't talk to anybody unless they approach you.

After what seemed like an eternity, the bus came rolling around the corner. I got on, thanked the driver, then walked down the aisle. Everyone who was sitting in a seat by themselves but their backpack beside them where I couldn't sit. I plopped down in the last seat in the back alone. I put my earbuds in and listened to the voices of my saviors: Black Veil Brides. "The Legacy" distracted me from the sniggering girls across from me that whispered "emo, depressed, cutter".

Wonderful. It's a repeat of last year...woohoo..
