Messed Up

My mind travels down an empty road alone.
Sometimes I swerve right off the path.
I hit the breaks right before the crash.
The adrenaline pumping through my bones lets me know, I am still feeling.
Because of fear, I know that I'm still here.
I'm still breathing.

But what about that one time I take it too far, and I see the light?
What about that one time, my breaks go out and I can not hide.
I see them coming.
I feel the numbing.

Flashing lights is all I see.
It's no longer just myself and me.
Faint talking all around.
How do i get out?
They say I'm lucky I survived.
Lucky, huh that I didn't have to face the night.
Well lucky's just a word.

But what about that one time I take it too far, and I see the light?
What about that one time, my breaks go out and I can not hide.
I see them coming.
I feel the numbing

It's messed up, people mess up.
It's messed up, I know I mess up.
It's messed up, people mess up.
I'm a mess.

But what about that one time I take it too far, and I see the light?
What about that one time, my breaks go out and I can not hide.
I see them coming.
I feel the numbing.
