Swollen eyes, I've heard your heart cry.
Gather here, listen to a story filled with fear.
Wounded soldier, don't be afraid to fight.
Open up and let your pain say what is on your mind.

Chapped hands, frozen touch - open up your fists. And plant those seeds you've been clenching in your grip.
Bury them in the soul that you mold, so everyone can see what you really hold.

I don't think you understand, what you've done and what's at hand.
And how much just simply breathing has meant.
I wish that you could see, past all your impurities and fully seek his purpose for your reality.

So tell me Jack, what's in your hands?
Tell me friend, what's holding you back?
I don't understand why your face is all wet, rush to his arms - they promise rest.
