  • Dedicated to My Dad!

This one my Dad wrote after he read the rest of the story and agreed with me that the end was lame!

Out of the cavity rose what appeared to be a circular saw blade in a holder. The bracket holding it in place suddenly dropped it on the floor, after spinning it around for it to gain momentum. The holder disappeared into the floor which left the deadly wheel spinning all over the floor in all directions. Duncan initially tried to run away from the blade, but the walls, as if they had been expecting this, began to close in on him. In his last moments, before he was turned into human mincemeat, Duncan realised why he had seen a hosepipe outside the door to his cell when he was first taken there...

Panic briefly turned to relief - at last, this miserable existence would soon be over. 3.8 microseconds after relief became a moment of esctacy, the computer in charge of the cell realised it was about to make a terrible mistake. A few seconds later, Duncan found himself sitting back on the bed as a mechanical arm dumped a vase of flowers on a table.

Thus began the pattern of the rest of Duncan's life.
