At that moment Johnny walked to the edge of the pool and yelled, "Here come good times! Whoo! Oh, dudes. Oh, my back." It was obvious acting.
Well that was poorly done...
A little green monster jumped on his back. "I'm on your back!"
Then a large pink monster said to Mavis, "Get on my back!"
"Let's do it!" she yelled climbing onto his back as Johnny got in the water.
"Aw, here we go. Chicken fight!" When Johnny yelled almost everyone jumped in. Lis was one of the few that didn't.
Everyone in the pool then yelled back, "Chicken fight!"
"We got you, Johnny. You're going down. Whoa," cried Mavis.
"Oh, yeah, we'll see, 'Mavey Wavey.'"
"Okay, calm down with the fight chickens!" It looked really unsafe to be doing this to both the Count and to Lis.
"Everyone, please, stop the roughhousing!" yelled Lis over everyone's screams but the all ignored her. Everyone was pushing and shoving.
Dracula grabbed Johnny's arm and hissed in his ear, "Johnny. Your makeup. Your makeup! Climb out. Now."
Johnny jerked to the side a little causing Dracula to disappear below the water. "Oh, man. I guess the Count wanted to go for a swim." Johnny was lifted hundreds of miles in the air on what served as a diving board. "Cannonball!" Johnny jumped.
By the time he was ten feet above the pool it was empty with a soaked Dracula standing in the middle of the pool, holding the plug. Dracula sighed as Johnny fell closer and five feet from the top of the pool Dracula froze him. He grabbed Steve, or Blobby as he is often called, and placed him below Johnny before letting him fall into the green glob.
Lis grabbed Mavis's hand and dragged her away from the pools edge. "What were you thinking?" she asked in a loud whisper. "Why would you do that? You could had been hurt!" Mavis's eyes widened. I shouldn't be yelling. Calm down. Lis hugged the girl close then held her at arms length. Calm down, Lis! "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to freak out." Lis took her hands off the young girl's shoulders. "I should really go calm down. I'll see you later, Mavis."
Lis ran through the halls and out the front door until she came to a place here she could hear Dracula yelling at Johnny. "You messed up big-time! I told you to take it down! You'll ruin my hotel if they find out!"
"Well, maybe you're just jealous that people are finally having fun at this place!" retorted Johnny loudly.
"Oh, that? That was not fun! Everyone running, jumping, swimming with no order. That was the opposite of fun!"
Do you even know what fun is? Lis thought as she stood listening.
"Boy, the wrong people get to be immortal," mumbled Johnny.
How dare he?! That was just mean! Lis shook her head and took off at a run, tears streaming from her eyes. They just don't understand! Lis reached the old cemetery where her parents' bodies lie. Their spirits weren't back yet. She threw herself over their graves. Wht would they understand? Do I even understand? Elisabeth's mind when blank as she continued to sob. Eventually a single thought came to her. I love him. I love Count Dracula. Not long after Lis felt a hand on her back. She turned expecting to see her mom or dad but instead she saw Count Dracula. She wiped the tears from her cheeks but her tears continued to stream down her face like a water fall.
Dracula looked into Elisabeth's teary eyes. There was something of comfort in them. Dracula grabbed her hands and helped her up. He held her close enough that she could hear his slow heart beat.
Suddenly there was a sharp pain in Elisabeth's lower lip, bringing new tears to her eyes. She lifted her head off Dracula's chest and felt her bottom lip. Her lip was bleeding and there was sharp teeth protruding from her gums on the top row. Fangs? She looked up at Dracula, her hand still at her mouth.
"Lis," said Dracula, his eyes full of comfort, "I-I..." Dracula gulped. "Lis will you come live with me at the hotel?"
Lis was speechless. She was being offered somewhere to spend the rest of her life by the man she loved. At first her mind was filled with a billion reasons to accept and a million reasons to decline. She didn't move a muscle until her minds civil war had stopped. "Yes." This was all she could say. There was a billion things she wanted to say but it was all she could say. "Yes!"
