(Above is Storm Shadow and Snow Storm)
I wake up in an unfamiliar aircraft, with my head on someone's lap. I look across and see my twin and his apprentice, who's name is Snow Storm, watching me, a smug look on her face.
I growl loudly, and the person who's lap I'm on starts stroking my hair. I look up to see Duke staring back at me in concern.
"They got you too?" I ask, confused. He nods and smiles sadly.
"I had to dive into this aircraft in order to disarm the nanomites so that the city wouldn't be destroyed. I'm guessing Storm Shadow just captured you?" Duke questions, an eyebrow raised. I nod, then wince.
God, my head hurts. I think, frowning. Duke smirks slightly as I sit up, groaning. Storm decides that now would be the time to speak.
"I captured you for a reason, sister." He just says, waiting for a respond. I just roll my eyes and motion for him to continue. He sighs, but continues with his reasons.
"Join me, sister. You will be well cared for, good food, and someone who loves you. I need you, Lynn." He pleads, looking me in the eye. I laugh, the sound completely humorless.
"You don't need me. You have your apprentice to keep you company. And I know that you like her in that way; don't deny it." I say, an evil sadistic smile on my face.
My brother looks at me, appalled. Duke chuckles lightly, hiding his smile behind his hand.
"No matter," a female voice begins. "you'll join us, whether you want to or not." I look over to see none other than Anna, who's sitting right across from Duke. I roll my eyes.
"Not likely. I'd kill myself before working for you guys. Not before taking a few down before I go, that is." I smirk at the last comment. Anna smirks as well, as if she knows something. I sigh and shake my head at her childish behavior. I lean against Duke and close my eyes, blocking out everyone else in the aircraft.********
I slowly wake up when I notice Duke shaking my shoulder lightly. I blink at him, confused.
"We've landed somewhere in the Arctic. We're getting off." Duke explains, seeing my expression.
"Oh. What's the plan?" I whisper the last part so that no one else heard. Duke leans in and whispers the beginning of his plan. I roll my eyes at one point, but other than that, the plan seems legit.
We walk into a snow cave, and my brother presses a button on a remote. The wall in front of us begins to melt. As it does that, Duke looks at me, and I nod slightly.
He reaches for the case and takes off running. I run after him not too long after.
The next thing I know, a ninja star embeds itself into Duke's shoulder, and he collapses. I reach down and grab the case, running into the icy world. I don't get very far before Snow Storm tackles me to the ground, stabbing me in the shoulder with a dagger. I grunt, and retaliate by elbowing her in the nose, breaking it...again. I get up, ignoring the pain in my shoulder, and grab the case, still running for the Arctic surface.
Then, I feel a large mass tackle me to the ground. It disables me by dislocating my ankle. I scream out in pain and my grip on the case slackens. I look up to see Anna smirking down at me, my brother slowly approaching. I glare at the bitch on top of me, my eyes turning a shade of red again.
Anna grabs the case and gets off my back. I whimper as I try to move my ankle, but the pain is too much. Storm kneels down and grabs my ankle. He looks up at me and I nod.
With a snap, he pops my ankle back into place. I scream out for a split second, then whimper as the pain ebbs away. Storm stands up and walks away.
Duke comes up, glaring at my twin brother. He then looks down at me.
"Are you alright, Lynn?" Duke asks, kneeling. All I could do was nod, biting down on my lip. Duke picks me up and carries me back inside. I take this time to look at his shoulder.
There is a small gash on his shoulder blade, not too long or too deep. I sigh, relieved, and lean into Duke's body, wrapping my arms around his neck. We're walking down a hallway in Cobra's underwater base. I take my time memorizing my surroundings, noting all the exits.
We enter a medical looking room, and I study it cautiously. All around me, the smell of chemicals fills my nose, and there are medical tools on counters everywhere. Then there's the machine.
The machine is in the center of the room, with syringes connected to it. Below the machine is a medical bed. Behind the machine are it's controls, and at the controls is who I assume to be the doctor.
"Ah, guests." He says through a breathing mask. He studies Duke for a bit, then his gaze switches to me, studying my every move.
I cook my head to the side as I study him from head to toe, my eyes narrowing in on his as I evaluate him.
Icy blue eyes, oily back hair that goes down to his shoulders, pale skin, tall and proud posture, iPad in his hand, and one metallic hand.
I smirk at him, impressed with the data on the screen of the iPad. He cocks an eyebrow at me, then he also smirks at me, and I can tell that he's evaluating me.
Storm Shadow grabs my arm and begins pulling me away from the room.
"Wait a minute, Storm Shadow," the doctor begins, approaching us. "Isn't she supposed to get the same treatment as her companion? That is what I am assuming, since you brought her here."
"No, doctor. Not this one," my brother says.
"Come now, Storm Shadow," Mr. McCullen says. "That is why you caught her, is it not?"
"No, not really," I say for the first time, catching all three boys off guard. "He captured me to lure Snake Eyes...and he wants me to join you willingly, which will never happen."
"And why is that?" The doctor questions, and I can tell that he's genuinely curious.
"Because I'd rather die than betray my friends. Sacrifice myself for them." I reply, looking straight into the doctor's eyes. He nods, approving my response.
"Come on, Angel," Anna says. "Just join us willingly, and maybe the doctor will spare Duke some pain in the procedure."
At this I begin laughing evilly. The doctor, who was walking away, turns back to us, surprised by my laughter.
"If he is who I think he is," I begin, watching the doctor. "He won't show Duke any mercy. Isn't that right," I got away from my brother's grip and got face to face with the doctor. "Rex."
I say the last part quietly so that only he could hear. He chuckles lightly.
"Very good, Lynn. You looked right past this mask and saw the man behind it. Very good indeed. I didn't know that you were a ninja, let alone related to Storm Shadow. How you kept that from me, I do not know." He whispers to me.
"I have my tricks, Rex, and you have yours. One question though: Did you ever really love me?"
Rex grabs my shoulders and pushes me against a wall. Nobody moves to stop him, though Storm is holding Duke back from attacking Rex. I grunt as Rex places his forearm onto my neck.
"I loved you more than you will ever know," he whispers harshly. "Not a single day goes by I don't remember the touch of you skin, your gentle gaze, your sweet voice. I thought I could trust you, then you left me there, in that building."
"I thought you were dead, and I died with you." I growl at him, my eyes cold and dangerous. Rex let's go of me and pushes me towards my twin.
As soon as I'm within reach, Storm wraps his arms around me, locking my arms against my body.
"Do what you want with her," Rex says. "I have no use of her."
With that, my brother knocks me out, and the last thing I see is Duke struggling to get to me, screaming my name.
