The Trial

Chapter 6
Sophia's pov :
"I can't believe you two! " I yelled furiously as we walked into Finns apartment. "We weren't the ones running away and not calling ." Rachel said . "Ughhhh why can't you just leave me alone your not my mom!" I yelled. "Yes I am ! I may not have been around for the past 15 years but that doesn't mean I don't care about you." She said. "Yes it does! You weren't around , neither of you were , you didn't care about what was best for me you just didn't want me . " I said. "Hey thats not fair Sophia!" Finn said . "Oh look who's talking . All you two do is hate eachother . Well I've had enough I have my papers sign and now I'm leaving ! Have a nice life!" I yelled . "Where are you going ?" Rachel asked. "Back to Chucks I'm staying there. " I said and left .
( The next morning )
I got dress to go to my hearing to get emancipated. I was meeting with my case worker at the stairs of the courthouse. "Sophia." Someone said as I walked up the stairs. I turned around to see Rachel . "What are you doing here?" I asked annoyed. "I came because I just wanted to make sure there were no problems and I came to apoligize for yesterday. " She said. "No need I told you I don't need you in my life , I've been doing fine for 16 years ." I said. "I know I just thought you should know." She said. I looked and saw Finn , "Finn? Why are you here? Did you come together? " I asked them. "No never!" They both said hateful. "I came just out of curiosity. " He said. "Okay well I'll see you guys in the court room." I said and left .

Finns pov :
"What are you doing here? " Rachel asked me annoyed after Sophia left. "I could ask you the same question. " I said. "I'm her mother I have every right to be here." She said. "Well I'm her father and I every right to be here too." I told her. "Really because you were sleeping with other girls while I carried her around for nine months. " She said. "You told me you hated my guts and never wanted to speak to me again." I said . "I was upset but that didn't mean anything. " She said. "Well it certainly met something when you three that hair dryer at me ." I said. "Whatever we need to go before it starts just don't talk to me ." She said. "Fine." I said. "Fine." She said and we went into the court house .

Sophia's pov :
"Everyone now rise for Judge Blanchard. " Said the guard , "Now be seated ." He said and we all sat down. "We are here today because Sophia Berry age 16 would like to be emancipated from foster care. Ms.Berry please rise. " Said the judge. "Now Ms.Berry do you have any type of income? " She asked me. "No however I am working on getting a job and I have money saved ." I told her. "And do you have a place to live?" She asked me . "I'm staying with my boyfriend till I get an apartment of my own." I told her. "And is this a stable place to live ?" She asked me . "For now yes." I said. "And are either of your birth parents here? " She asked me. "Both." I said. "Will they please rise ." She ordered . "Mr.Finn Hudson and Ms.Rachel Berry correct?" She asked them . "Yes your honor." Rachel said. "Do both of you have a stable income?" She asked them. "Yes." They both said. "And a place to stay?" She asked. "Yes." They said again . "Then its settled Sophia Berry will remain under custody of Rachel Berry and Finn Hudson until further notice." She said. "What!" We all said . "Sophia you have no stability not even a job, which means you can't provide for yourself . So my answer is no. Motion deneyed , court dismissed . " She said and slammed the gaval.
