Meeting Sophia

Chapter 4
Rachels pov :
"Rachel, meet Sophia your daughter. " He said. A young brunette girl who looked just like me hoped out of the truck and smiled at me. "Hi." She said. "Hi." I said in amazement. "Sorry I know you're in the middle of a show we can talk later ." She said . "No , no Zack can handle the show. How did you find me? " I asked her. "Well I was putting my case together to get emancipated and I needed you and Finns signature and I saw Finns name on the paper so I decided to find him and here I am." She said. "Wait emancipation? Why would you want to do that?" I asked her. "She was never adopted. " Finn said . "What they told me they would find you a great home what happened? " I asked her. "I need so heart surgery when I was a baby I didn't finish since I was 8 or 9 and most people want a baby not a kid." She told me. "Oh my god , I am so sorry. " I said. "Its fine I just need this paper signed so I can get emancipated from foster care." She informed me . "Yeah of course. " I said. She gave me the paper and a pen and I was about to sign it when I said , "Wait , look I know that your eager to do this but do you think we could maybe get some lunch after work today?" I asked her. "Are you serious?" She asked me. "Yeah. It would be fun to get to know you a little bit." I said. She looked at Finn and he nodded , "Okay sure ." She said. "Great I'll pick you up at Finns." I said. "Yeah." She said. "Okay great Finn whats your address?" I asked him. "Here ." He said and gave me a card . "Mclovins bar really." I asked him annoyed. "Yup." He said. "Okay I'll pick you up at 12 okay?" I asked her. "Okay." She said and smiled . I smiled and Finn looked at me , "Nice to see you again Rach." He told me. "I would say the same about you but then I be lying." I told him. "Okay bye ." He said. I smiled and went back inside to finish the show .

Sophia's pov :
"Okay what was that?" I asked Finn as we got back into the truck. "What was what?" He asked me. "You two what happened?" I asked him. "Look Rachel kind of hates me ." He told me. "Why?" I asked him. "Its a long story." He said. "Oh come on it can't be that long." I said. "No it is but I'll let Rachel tell you. " He told me. I rolled my eyes and said , "Okay. " He looked at me and said, "What about you? " He asked me. "What about me ?" I asked him. "What do you do when your not in school?" He asked me. "Hang with my friends and boyfriend." I told him. "Woah you have a boyfriend?" He asked me. "Yeah ." I said. "You're only 15 you should be playing jump rope outside not dating . " He said. I laughed and said, "Relax he's my boyfriend its not like we make out every second of everyday." I said. "Really? When I was your age I was....never mind ." He said. It was noon time and I was waiting for Rachel , she was half an hour late .I was chilling with Puck , Finn , and Sam when the buzzer went off . "Thats probably Rachel." I said. "Come on up ." Finn said letting her in. She came up the stairs and said, "Hey." I smiled and said , "Hey." I said. "Ready to go? " She asked me. "Yeah." I said. "Bye boys. " I said to them . "Bye." They said. "Oh Sophia wait!" Finn yelled. "Yeah Finn." I said. "Here you forgot your jacket. " He said. I smiled a little freaked out , "Thanks . " I said. I turned to Rachel, "Come on lets go." I said and we left.

Rachels pov :
"So where do you want to go ?" I asked Sophia. "Um theres this little diner up on 5th Avenue. " I said. "Okay." She said and we drove off . "Oh hey I know this place ." Sophia said as we got out of the car. "Really no way." I said. "Yeah I come here all the time with my best friend Emily ." I said. "Thats cool when I was your age I used to come here all the time with Finn." She told me. "Wait really?" I asked her. "Yeah this was one of our many spots . " She told me. We walked in and sat down at a booth . "So Sophia, " She said. "You can call me Sophie. " I said. "Oh you go by Sophie?" She asked me. "Sophie, Sophia, all the same to me ." I told her. "Okay Sophie. So what do you do besides school?" She asked me. "Well I sing and I write." I said but she interrupted me , "You sing?" She asked me. "A little I'm not that good." I said. "Oh I'm sure thats not true after all you come from two very talented singers ." She said. "Wait Finn use to sing ?" I asked not believing her. "Yup." She said. "Thats crazy I never took him for that type of guy. " I said laughing. "You've should've seen him dance funniest thing in the world. " She said and we laughed. "Can I ask you a question. " I said. "Sure what do you want to know? " She asked me. "Why did you give me up?" I asked her. She looked at me and her smile faded away , "Why don't we order what would you like?" She asked me trying to change the subject. "Rachel." I said. "Don't do this now Sophie. " She said. "Just tell me why did you give me up? " I asked again . She sighed and said , "I didn't.... I was young and stupid. I didn't anyone and I thought you be better off without me . Finn didn't want to be a dad and I didn't want to be a mom but I was a teenager I couldn't raise a baby. " She said. "Oh." I said dissapointed. "Sophie it doesn't mean I didn't love you because I did I just ...." I interrupted her "If you loved me why didn't you keep me?" I asked her. "Its more complicated than that. " She said. "Can you just sign the paper?" I asked her hurt. "What about lunch?" She asked me. "I lost my appetite. " I said point blank. I handed her the papers and she signed them . I grabbed them and stormed out . "Sophie wait!" She called after me . "What!" I yelled furiously at her . "I'm sorry if I said something wrong but I still would like to know you. " She told me. "You didn't want me Rachel! You never wanted me . So whats the difference now?" I asked her and stormed off.
