A bright light woke me up; I brought my hand up and rubbed my eyes. I squinted to see I was still laying out on the sofa and the bright light was coming from the sliding glass doors; apparently Zayn and I didn't close the curtains when we came in from the balcony last night. I groaned to myself; I hate being woken up, especially by sunlight. I turned my body so I was facing Zayn, well, facing his chest, and closed my eyes and stuffed my face into his T-shirt. His arm came down from over his head and repositioned itself around my body. He gave one tight squeeze to let me know he was awake. I looked up at him; the sun was hitting his face and he was looking down at me. The sight of the sun seeping through his eyelashes was simply breathtaking, but I wouldn't let him know that. His lips turned up into a small smile, I returned the gesture, and Zayn placed his lips against my forehead.
"Good morning, J." Zayn said, his raspy morning voice made my insides tingle.
"Good morning Zayn," I simply smiled. I cuddled even closer into him and we soon fell back asleep.
--
Much too soon we were woken up again, this time by someone's annoying alarm. I reached down to the floor and picked up a pillow, then I blindly threw the pillow in the direction on the noise.
"Oi what was that for?!" I heard Harry's voice call out.
"You deserve it for having such an annoying alarm." I said sarcastically.
"Whatever just wake up your boyfriend." He said, sounding quite upset. I looked over and saw Mads still asleep on the sofa- typical Mads- Harry had gone into the kitchen. I got up and followed him, not worrying about waking Zayn. Harry was in the kitchen warming up a pot of tea.
"Harry?" I asked cautiously. He didn't say anything, he just looked at me and quirked and eyebrow. At a first glace there was hurt and frustration plastered all over his face. I took a step toward him, "Are you alright?"
And with just a simple question any emotion I had read on his face was gone. "Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?"
"Uh I don't know you just looked upset, that's all." I said shyly, maybe I was wrong?
He didn't say anything, but I could tell he was thinking. "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure, Haz, what's up?"
"Can we maybe forget what happened with us?" I was surprised by his question. What did he mean 'forget'? Was he really that mad at me?
"Um... Sure... I'll just go then." I turned to leave, but Harry grabbed my arm before I could go anywhere. I looked down at where his hand was wrapped around my arm then back up at him.
"Jess I didn't mean it like that." When he saw I wasn't going anywhere he let go of my arm and ran a frustrated hand through his hair. "It's just I think I made a mistake... With my feelings... I- I said I loved you because-" I cut him off.
"Because you only want to be friends but didn't know how to break up with me?"
Harry stepped forward and wrapped his arms around me in a big bear hug. He let out a loud sigh, "I'm so glad you understand Jess." He released me from his hug, "I know I should've gone about it differently so I truly am sorry."
I let out a small giggle, "It's okay Harry, really."
"Good, because the thing is, I really like Mads... And you're her best friend, so I really don't want things to be awkward or anything." He extended his hand, "Friends?" A cheeky grin had formed on his face, exposing a dimple in his left cheek.
"Friends," I grabbed his extended hand and shook it firmly. I let a smile stick to my face. I'm so glad to have Harry back, I really missed him. Although I had kind of guessed his reasoning for throwing out the 'L' word, it does kind of hurt that he didn't think he could talk to me and had to resort to allowing us both to get hurt. "But Styles?" I asked.
"Yes, Anderson?"
"If you hurt my best friend I promise you I will personally beat your little arse." I said matter-of-factly.
"Hey! My arse is not little! It's firm and plump!" He joked. I raised an eyebrow at him and he let his expression fall serious, "Jess, I promise, I will never hurt her."
"Well then I suppose we should go wake them up or you'll both miss your flight." I sighed. I dragged my feet back over to the living area. I poked Zayn's cheek delicately, "Erm Harry?" I called over my shoulder, "Maybe you'd better wake Zayn, I'll wake Mads." I stated, knowing very well how hard Mads and Zayn both are to wake up. Harry would know how to go about about waking Zayn, just like I knew that the easiest way to wake Mads was to pull on her left earlobe-- it's weird, I know, and I don't know why only the left earlobe... I went and knelt on the carpeted living room floor beside Mads and reached my hand under her head, (she was lying on her side, so the left side of her face was pressed against the cushion), and began tugging on her ear. "Wake up, wake up, wake up!" I said.
"Ugh Butter, I swear I'm going to kill you." She groaned and blindly swatted the air.
"Get up or we'll leave you here while I take the boys to the airport and the housekeeping staff will have to deal with you."
She rolled herself off the sofa, literally, and landed with a thump on the floor. "Ow..."
I tilted my head to look at her, "C'mon then." With that I got up and saw Harry was still trying to wake up Zayn. How hard could it be to wake that kid up? I walked over to the other sofa where Zayn was laying and tried to come up with a way to wake him. First I pulled the pillow out from under his head, nothing. Then, I flicked his nose, still nothing. I took a second to think, Harry had since given up and went to see/kiss Mads. I got on top Zayn and straddled him, and did the only thing I could think of that was sure to wake him up. I pressed my lips to his and pulled lightly at his hair.
"Mmm," he moaned. When he cracked open his eyes to a sliver and gave a smirk, "I'm so glad you're not Harry." He said in his sexy, raspy morning voice. He wrapped his muscular arms around my waist and held me tight.
"I'm pretty glad about that too," I laughed. "Come on sleepy head you gotta get to the airport soon." I tried to get up but his hold on me only got tighter.
"I only get one little kiss? That's not fair babe." He whined.
"Yes well, had you woken up on time you could've had more than a kiss, but now you're late so you gotta go." I playfully slapped his chest, "Like now." I climbed off of him before he could object.

We walked the boys up to security, that was as far as we were able to go with them. I knew when they first got here that they would have to leave the next morning but now it's just becoming so real. We've gotten through the airport this far without any fans noticing them, or paparazzi for that matter, which I'm extremely grateful for; this way I can say a normal goodbye to my boyfriend. I can't help but smile uncontrollably and get crazy butterflies in my stomach when I say, or even think, the word "boyfriend". Now, I know what you're thinking "Oh she literally just had a boyfriend.. It's not that big of a deal." And you'd be right, I did just have a boyfriend. But this is Zayn.
"Alright babe," Zayn said. He had stepped in front of me and had both his hands on my waist. "I'll see you soon, J."
"See you soon, Zayn." I forced the tears down so I could at least appear to be staying strong.
He bent down and kissed my forehead. We shared a silent look before he gave another kiss, this time on my lips. His left hand cupped the side of my face whilst his thumb rubbed my cheek, "Bye J." With that he turned and walked away. I had already bid farewell to Harry, as Mads had to Zayn, so I didn't have anything left to say to him.
One we got outside the airport Mads and I wrapped our arms sind each other, she held any tears she could have had in but I simply couldn't. I knew how much I'd miss the both of them. These next few months are going to be long, hopefully everything will go smoothly while Zayn is gone.
