Srry I haven't written in so long. I recently started high school, and I may or may not have forgotten about updating my stories 😅😅😅. *Dodges arrows, knives, and bullets* I think I'll start this now.

Serafina POV

The morning started out normally. I arrived at the classroom extremely early, and I waited for class to start. Students started trickling in and then Ms. Hestia came and began teaching. The topic was, ironically enough, Greek mythology and Ms. Hestia was throwing around a few Greek words every now and then.

Of course, that got some looks. It was after school when things started happening. I was on the roof (again) watching Nico talk to the Knights. Nico looked at where I was. I smirked and waved a bit. I turned back around and came face to face with an empousa. Her lips were curled up in a snarl/sneer.

"Well, well, well. Looks like I'm going to have a feast today!" She said. She lunged, and I dodged, rolling away. I took out my pen and clicked it, holding it tightly as it transformed into my bow. When it was fully formed, I clicked a button on the handle and the bow transformed into a sword. Cool right? I had Leo do it for me before everything happened. He said it was handy, and it is, like helping me stab the empousa who was swiping at me.

Wait, swiping at me?

I focused and I jumped back, but I was too late. The empousa had scratched me pretty deep, and blood started pouring out. I hissed, but kept quiet otherwise. The empousa smirked, licking the blood— my blood— and said, "What an awesome flavor! It makes me want to eat you even more!" She lunged at me again, claws out with a huge grin. I kept quiet, waiting for the perfect time to strike.

Just as the empousa was about to scratch me again, I stepped aside and she fell, missing me. At that split second, I stabbed the empousa in the back, making her dissolve into golden dust. I turned my sword back into a pen and checked on Nico and the Knights. The Knights didn't notice me or Nico, who was watching me with a concerned look. I smiled crookedly, waving in a "I'm fine" gesture.

Nico slightly narrowed his eyes but still turned back to the Knights. I sighed and shadow traveled to an area a few feet away from where the Knights were. After making sure the Knights weren't looking in my direction, I went over to where they were. Nico, of course, spotted me and looked like he was about to say something to the Knights when I put my finger to my lips.

He rolled his eyes but kept quiet. The Knights kept chatting away, not noticing me until I said, "Whatcha talking about?" They all jumped a foot high, and turned to face me. "I am seriously about to buy a bell and place it on your neck," Ceylan growled. I smirked. "I'd like to see you try, Jones," I said. "Serafina, what happened to your arm!? It's bleeding!" Guren exclaimed.

Everyone's eyes went to my arm, which was still bleeding. Nico took a sharp breath and narrowed his eyes at me, and I could practically hear the "Liar" comment in his head. "It's nothing to worry about, a stray dog just scratched me," I lied. The Knights nodded, some looking uncertain while others were looking concerned. "Can I talk to Gen privately? It's important," I said.

The Knights noddes and left, and I caught the words "diner" and "food". "If an empousa is attacking, then that means the monsters have caught on to us. It won't be long until they attack the others," I said seriously. Nico nodded. "We'll have to prepare ourselves. How is your arm? Is it poisoned?" Nico asked, concern showing on his face and traces of concern in his voice. "I'm fine, Mom. There's no poison, otherwise we would know," I said. Nico shook his head, sighing.

"Whatever. Let's get you some ambrosia and catch up with the Knights," Nico said, walking away. "Hey, where are you going?" I called.  "We're going to the diner. That's where the Knights said they would go," Nico replied, not stopping. "Wait up!" I yelled, running to catch up with him.
