Frustration of A Sort

Okay, I'm gonna predict that this chapter is gonna be short also. Let's find out!

Guren POV

The four of us (Gen had to talk to someone so he didn't join us) headed to the library. We walked in and headed to towards the mythology section. There was no one there, so we were really confused. "Eriden said she'd be here!" I exclaimed. "Then where is she?" Toxsa asked. "No clue," I replied.

"Hey guys, look at this!" Ceylan said, holding out a Greek Mythology book. There was a note on it.

Now you have to travel to the place where the Greek gods are held in the place to see many things.

Eriden

"We have to go to a place to see many things. Where's that?" Ceylan asked. "The museum, of course!" Chooki said. "Then we're off to the museum!" I exclaimed.

"Shhhh!" shushed the librarian.

We arrived at the museum and ran all the way to the Greek gods exhibit. There was no one there. "She's not here again!" I said. We browsed around to see if anyone was there. There was no one, so we decided to check the statues and see if there was any note. "Hey guys! I found another note!" Chooki called.

We headed over to a statue of Hades, Greek god of death, since that was where Chooki was. And sure enough, there was another note there.

Head to the park, where there's a fantastic view.
And once you're there you will see your next important clue!

Eriden

"When she rhymes, it sounds like she's Orangor," I said. We all shuddered at the thought. "We'd better head to the park and hope she's there," Ceylan said. "Yeah," I said.

"Guys, do you think that she's leading us on a wild goose chase?" Ceylan said in an unsure voice. I thought about it. So far, she's led us to two different places and neither of the two had people in it. More importantly, why so much Greek mythology?

"Alright, we're here!" Toxsa announced. I looked around and saw Serafina talking to Gen. In what looked like a really intense argument. We headed over and Serafina spotted us before Gen did.

"Serafina, what are you doing here?" I asked politely. "Trying to convince this knucklehead over here," she pointed her head towards Gen," that I'm innocent of something." "You're not innocent!" Gen exclaimed, flushing red. "For the millionth time, I am! Go ask Andy! He'll know!" Serafina growled in retaliation. "Why should I listen to you?" Gen sneered. "Because you know how he is with truths! Go ask him and you'll see I'm right," Serafina said, crossing her arms. "You can't make me!" Gen said, also crossing his arms. Serafina smirked.

"I could always ask my three adoptive grandmothers to persuade you. The ones with an obsession for knitting," Serafina said, putting an emphasis on "knitting" and "three adoptive grandmothers". It didn't make sense to me, but Gen paled and gasped.

"No way. Not possible. Why would they adopt you?" Gen asked, confusion and disgust on his face. "Because they like me," Serafina said in triumph. Me and the others were standing to the side as we watched and listened to their argument. I cleared my throat to get their attention.

Their heads whipped around, both staring at me. "Um, maybe you two should carry this argument some other time?" I asked unsurely. Serafina sighed. "Alright. I got somewhere to be anyway," she said, walking away.

All of a sudden, I got an idea. I didn't know if it's true, so I didn't tell the others. It kinda made sense. She said she had somewhere to be, she was the only girl here, and her reaction towards boys also fits. I might've figured out who Eriden is.

I was thinking so hard, I didn't notice that I was staring at where Serafina went. "Hello? Anyone there?" A hand started waving in front of my face. I jumped. "Wha?" I asked, looking around. The group was staring at me, and it made me feel uncomfortable. "Why are you all staring at me?" I asked, shifting. "I dunno, why were you staring at Serafina?" Ceylan retorted. "No I wasn't!" I protested, going pink.

"Yeah, you totally are! If you like her, maybe you should tell her," Chooki said. "I don't like her! Well, as a friend maybe. But other than that, no!" I insisted. I really didn't like her in that way! "Then why are you staring at her so much?" Gen asked. "Because, well, I just thought that maybe that, um, Serafina could be Eriden," I confessed, stuttering.

It looked like Chooki was about to ask something when I was saved by our Corebricks glowing. We rushed to Mr. White's shop to get teleported to Quarton. We were silent the whole trip.
