New Boy

I was walking down the street with my sister. We were going to the park down the street. She went to the swings and I was just on my phone. "Hey" a boy called to me. I looked up to see a cute boy with a sleeve of tats on his arm. I fell in love. He told me his name was Daniel and just visiting for a few weeks at his cousin's place. We had a long conversation and soon we exchanged numbers. I knew I was really gonna get over Drew.

I walked Kiara home and told her not to tell Ma where I'm going. If there's one thing I loved about that girl, it's that she can keep a secret. I walked with Daniel down the street over to his house. I then realized his house was Drew's house! Drew was his cousin!

"Take a seat anywhere" Daniel smiled as he got himself something to drink.

"I'm going to the restroom" I said getting up and walking to the bathroom. Before I could make it, I ran into Drew.

"Kyra, why are you here?" Drew said.

"This is the girl I'm seeing, y'all know each other?" Explained Daniel.

"No, that's my girlfriend" Drew said as if he was about to fight his cousin.

"Girlfriend?" I said. I then remembered I never told him I wanted to break up again.

"What's happening??" Pregnant Casey said walking out the bathroom with no clothes on.

"Dang, hoe! Put a towel on at least" I said turning my head. She rolled he eyes and walked back to the bathroom but not before giving Drew a really long kiss.

"You got her pregnant, living in your house and kissing you and still think we're together?" I asked him. "Let's go, Daniel!" I grabbed Daniel's hand and walked out the house. I really am tried of Drew. I don't think I'm ever gonna get back with him. Ever.

We walked outside the house in silence. "This must be really weird for you" I said. Daniel laughed. "I've been through worse" he said, taking a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket and lighting one. "You smoke?" I asked. He nodded. "Andrew does, too. He did for a few years now" Daniel blow smoke out of his mouth. I went into deep thought. I didn't even know that.

"There must be lots of things I don't know about him" I guessed.

"Yeah, you can't trust people who hide lots things from the ones they love" He replied, offering me a cigarette. I said no. I then stared into his eyes.

"Maybe you're what I need" I went up to Daniel and kissed him. I don't think I've ever kissed someone like that before.
