Date Night

I read all of the texts messages from him. They said things like "I miss you", "I broke up with Casey", "I need someone to talk to". I thought it was kinda weird that he was doing this, but I still replied.

Me: Heyy

Drew: you finally answered???

Me: Lol I was busy

Drew: ok but me n her broke up

Me: Why?

Drew: it wasn't working out.

Me: okay I guess...

Drew: so I wanted to know if we can hang out tomorrow?

Me: Sure! Who else is comin??

Drew: just us

Me: okay I'm going to bed now, got a Test in the morning for school >.<

Drew: night ily

When I woke up for school, I couldn't help but think of how strange it was that he told me he loved me. I loved him too but I wasn't gonna admit it since we broke up. Maybe since we've known each other for about 3 years now he feels more comfortable around me.

I took a shower and got dressed. I did my hair in a high pony tail and did my eyeliner. I woke Kiara up and made her and my mother breakfast. I made bacon, scramble eggs and pancakes. I kissed my mother on the cheek when she came in. "Aren't you in a good mood?" She laughed as she took up her food. I smiled. "Yeah, uh Ma. I'll take Kiara to school if you don't mind?" I offered. "Oh thanks, baby! I don't really feel like doing anything in my day off" she said.

After we all have eaten, I got my mom's keys and drove my 11 year old sis to school. "Don't act like I didn't notice you kissing up to mom" she broke the silence. "Yeah, I have a date and I wanted her in her best mood when I ask her .tonight" I explained. "I hope you know those girls are still talking trash on twit-" Kiara was saying when I cut off and said "I really don't care about it".

I dropped her off and went to my school. That school day seemed so long so I was happy as soon as I got out.

At home, I finally asked my mother if I could go, and of course, she said yes. I quickly changed into a sleeveless black dress with my hair braided to one side and waited outside for Drew. I wondered where he was taking me, and why he even wanted to take his ex on a date. All the thoughts let my mind when he drove into my driveway.

"Hey" I smiled as we drove away.

"Hey" he said back.

"You look beautiful" he said.

I smiled.

We walked into a very fancy restaurant and began to order. "It's very funny that you're doing as this for you ex..." I said. It all suddenly got awkward. "Kyra..." He said. "I wanna get back together with you. I really missed you in my life and I wanna be more than friends" He said. I stared at him. I didn't know what to say. Did I really wanna get back together with him? He then looked like he wished he could just take everything he said back.

"Yeah, I said. I've missed having you as a boyfriend" I said with a smile.

Everything from then on was so happy and peaceful. I didn't know how much I needed him in my life until now. These few months with him were the best. But you know, hoes love ruining relationships.
