"Mom? Where is my skirt?" I yelled into the spacey penthouse. It had a kind of comforting echo as if somebody was always watching over me. "Oh, I think it's in the wash. Would you mind going to get it, sweetie?" Mom hollered from our kitchen. So I tromped downstairs to the wash room. I grabbed my skirt and decided to change into my uniform in the bathroom. I slipped on my grey plaid skirt and my white blouse with "Anna" stitched in the corner in the neatest maroon stitching. I looked outside. The snow was melting and it was sunny out but it was 58 degrees according to the weather app on my phone. I pulled on my comfy maroon sweater, my maroon knee socks, and my penny loafers. I walked into our kitchen to the smell of heaven on a grill. I saw bacon sizzling, French toast cooking and eggs being...well, scrambled. This was a normal morning at the Levenge household. After I shoveled my delicious breakfast into my mouth, I waltzed outside to the black Corvette parked in the driveway. People whispered as I passed them. But I wasn't self conscious, I knew they were probably just complimenting me. I used to hate being talked about, but after years of being "The Popular Princess of Cherry Park", I got used to it. I drove myself to school and parked in my reserved parking spot. Well, it wasn't reserved but nobody ever parked there. I don't know why, they just didn't. I walked to my locker on the second floor and gathered my things that I needed for Health. I walked into the room and sat in my seat, right in the front. I was surrounded by my friends; Jasmine, Hazel, Jordan, Lavender, and Piper. "Oh my god, you look gorgeous! What did you do with your hair? You have to teach me." They gushed. "Um, I just brushed it and pinned it back. It really wasn't anything special." I confessed. I sat their feeling self conscious because all the other girls were staring at me. I didn't know what to do. It was my second week of school in my senior year. I wanted to transfer here as a freshman and start over with a clean slate. It's not all that awesome being the subject of so many conversations. But, Jasmine insisted on transferring with me, and after that everyone followed. They eventually ruined my plan and made me Miss Popular yet again. It's not fun, you know. Mrs. Rallevan waltzed in with such regal grace the whole class was so quiet you could've heard a pin drop. "Now, open your books to page 240- this week we are learning about channeling stress along with-" Mrs. Rallevan was interrupted by the morning announcements "Good Morning, young men and women, please stand for the pledge to our flag. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic, for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Hope you are having an amazing second week back juniors sophomores and seniors! And hope you're enjoying the school so far freshman! Now, you may not know this freshman, but everyday at St Margaret's Academy starts with a prayer..." In case you didn't know I go to a catholic school. "...Amen. Ok, have a great day everyone!" As Mrs. Rallevan droned on and on I sat their, idly braiding my hair. When it was lunch time, I walked into the lunchroom and we sat at our usual table with our usual seating: Jasmine across from me, Jordan on my left, Hazel next to her, and Lavender and Piper sat in either side of Jasmine. And then, my boyfriend Michael sat down on my right, gave me a kiss on the cheek and then he went on with his usual raving on about what Coach Hedge made them do at practice.
