"Anna, he is not good enough for you. There is someone better for you out there." Lavender said. "Thanks, Lav, but you're not making me feel any better. I gotta go. Bye." I said. Ding. "Ugh, who is at the door now?" I muttered. I opened the door and saw everyone. Jasmine, Jordan, Hazel, Piper, Lavender- all of them. They were all holding bags and plates of cookies and candies and bags of popcorn and movies. "We're so sorry Anna. We thought a sleepover might help." Jordan said. "Oh my god you guys." I said as I gave them a hug. I let them in and we started talking. "Anna, he is not good enough for you. He doesn't deserve you." Jasmine said. "You know what, Jaz? You're right. I don't care about him anymore." I said confidently. " That's the spirit Anna! In fact, Adam was asking me if you were single..." Piper winked at me. "I think I'm good for now." I said while laughing. Ding. "Ugh who is at the door now?" I said. I opened it and saw Michael.
"Hey..." He said awkwardly. He looked nervous as he realized all my friends were standing behind me protectively. "Um can we talk alone?" He said in almost a whisper. "Anything you want to say to me you can say in front of my friends." I said. "Fine...I'm so sorry Anna. I broke up with my other girlfriend and I want to get back together. You must've felt crushed." He said. He looked at me as if expecting me to break into tears and fall into his arms. "Oh, get over yourself Michael. I don't want your pity." I spat at him. He opened his mouth but I wasn't done with him. "You asked me out, told me you loved me, then said you were dating someone else on our first date. Do you know how that feels? Well, let me tell you, it doesn't feel good. So you can just take your roses and fake apologies and get the heck away from me." Just to prove my point, I took a rose out of the bouquet and stomped on it. He looked as if he'd been slapped. I slammed the door in his face. Oh god, I thought, my friends are going to hate me for being so harsh. I took a breath and turned around, expecting to see horrified faces. Instead, I saw grins. "Oh my god Anna! You just told him off and stood up for yourself! That is, like, so awesome." Lavender giggled. Ok, so they didn't hate me. One problem down. Lots more to go. I thought. "Anna, guess what?" Jasmine said. "Adam like totally invited me to his party tonight and guess what? He said to "make sure Anna is there too ;)". "Oh..." I said blushing like crazy. "I guess I'll go if you're all going." I said. "Whoa, slow down Anna. You are not going anywhere in that." Piper said. I nodded in agreement. My friends helped me get ready for Adam's party. They did my makeup with a slight cat-eye. I also had a pretty smoky eye with red lipstick. "I don't have anything to wear!" I realized. "Oh we got that covered" Hazel winked, left, and came back 5 minutes later with 10 black bags in her hand. "Do we have enough time to try them all on?" Hazel laughed. In the end, I slipped on a short black dress that was tight on top, but stuck out at the bottom. A skater dress. I paired it with my favorite mint green belt and heels. I grabbed my black cross body and went out the door with my friends behind me.
