Into the wormhole

BLACKHOLE

The spacecraft was totally out of control. It was using much fuel as its speed increased. I tried to reboot the system but it kept on saying "system malfunction." I was getting confused and scared. I almost micturated on myself. I turned to Edu who was still trying to slow the spacecraft.

" so we are going to die" I said seriously.
" come on don't be so pessimistic, we will get through this" he replied, then he looked forward.
" what the hell is that " he said pointing. I turn to examine the problem. I saw portal with a dark centre it was sulking everything within its reach into itself.

And the spacecraft was racing towards it.
" Is that a blackhole" Edu screamed, almost in tears. " we are doomed, we are damned" he added hitting the buttons roughly.
He was the one being optimistic a while ago.

" Will you calm down" I shouted at him.

Then I tried to restart the spacecraft again,

" not authorised " it said back at me.
" what the hell!!" I shouted angrily.

I was out of options, suicidal options like evacuating from the spacecraft became reasonable to me. we were getting closer to the blackhole, it was right ahead of the spacecraft. I began to restart the spacecraft manually. Edu was no help at all, he was just shivering on the pilot's seat, praying with a cross on his hand.
I managed to restart the spacecraft and rushed back to my seat to check the distance left to reach the blackhole.
It was to late!!, the gravitational pull of the blackhole had already began to pull us in.

" it is over! " I cried, banging my palm continuously on the buttons in front of me.

Suddenly, a miraculous thing happened. Sparkling light shone brightly at us. It was close to the blackhole. It was a portal but its centre had sparkling lights and it was turning slowly. It was a wormhole!! I quickly grabbed Edu, who as still panicking, by his cloth.

" Get a hold of yourself" I screamed at him. Then I pointed at the wormhole close by.

" that is our escape route, since we are not very close we can beat the gravitational pull of the blackhole and with a little pull from the wormhole we can escape death. " I summarized my plan.

"will this work?" he asked beginning to calm down.
" what other option do we have?"

We began the plan immediately. I struggled to turn the spacecraft towards the wormhole and increased the speed.

"we are using full power, are you sure you want to continue, sir" the computer warned.

Without any hesitation I hit the affirmative button. The spacecraft began to move against the pull of the blackhole.

"come on, come on!!" I shouted steering the spacecraft towards the wormhole.
"it seems the power is not enough!! " Edu screamed, " at this rate the blackhole will win!!"

"I can't die like this, I can never die like this" I said to myself.

I looked at the fuel gauge, it was almost empty. The spacecraft was beginning to slow down and was giving in to the pull of the blackhole.
Just then I remembered the emergency fuel.

"Edu, we should have an emergency fuel, right?" I asked.
"yes but if we use it how are we going to go home"
"if we don't use it how are we going to survive fool!!, push the button!! "

Edu quickly hit a big green button near him and the speed of the spacecraft increased. It was now moving faster than before but it was not enough. The pull of the blackhole was still hanging on to it. I increased the speed.

"speed at maximum!!" the system warned.
"Can we exceed maximum speed?" I asked, holding the voice input button.

The system did not reply. The spacecraft was stagnant. The force between the pull and speed was equal. We needed a little more speed to beat the pull. The fuel gauge was going down.
Suddenly the system answered,
"yes we can but it is dangerous"
I quickly hit the voice input button,
"exceed maximum speed now!!!" I shouted. The speed increased, the craft beat the pull of the blackhole and raced into the wormhole.
