Into the wormhole

THE ATTACK

So we escape death to meet it in another planet. This girl was unreasonable but thinking of it if she went to earth, humans would have captured her and start using her for experiment. So keeping her guard up was understandable. I got up and detached my parachute.

“so you are taking us to the council” I said.
“yes, if you try any thing stupid you know what I can do” she replied indifferently.

I exhaled deeply. It was really tiring, the whole journey. I wished I had taking Rita to the park instead of working. But nothing can be done about the past.

“ lead the way, kid” l said, trying to act cool.
“ it's Mendella not kid, I am not even a kid, I may be thirty years and above according to time in your planet”
“what do you mean by that?” Edu asked curiously.
“when we reach my town we can talk all you want, move!” she ordered.

She was not using her abilities for some reasons but we just obeyed her. She showed us the direction and we walked towards it. We walked for some time before we heard strange noise coming from the forest. We paused.

“what is that?” Edu asked looking around continuously.

I turned to Mendella since it was her planet she should tell us what the hell was that but she looked confused. We then heard a roar. It sounded like a lion but it was much more louder and scarier.

“it is the Drancos!” Mendella said aloud, “run, run” she added.

We started running. I was scared to look back. Suddenly I saw a huge creature in front of me. I quickly stopped, so as the rest. This strange animal was like a huge lion with with human limbs and huge claws. Its size was almost like that of an elephant. It roared loudly again and dived towards us. I felt as if my soul has left my body. Mendella used her ability to hold it on the air and she threw it towards a rock. It got up angrily and raced towards us again.

“ I know I should not use this but it is a life and death situation” she said.

Then she closed her eyes and hit the ground with force. She started saying different things in her language. Immediately, blue like flames began to surround us. The Dranco suddenly stopped and raced into the forest. After some seconds, the flames quenched. Mendella got up, a blue fluid was coming out from her nostrils.

“let keep moving.” she said slowly.
“something is coming out from your nose” Edu informed her.

She wiped it off with her hands.

“let go, the Dranco will still come back” she ordered.

She walked three steps and fell. We walked to her and tapped her. It seems she was unconscious.

“ I think she passed out, it is time for us to escape.” Edu said.
“no!!, we should think about this properly ” I suggested.

After a little discussion, we agreed on a plan. Since we needed help we have to gain favour and trust from the inhabitants of this planet, starting with her. So, we carried her back to our spacecraft.

“this could be the worst mistake we ever made” Edu said aloud.
“calm down, we have no option”

After an hour, according to my watch, she started to come around. She sat up and touched her head.

“where the hell am I” she asked looking around the craft.
“you passed out so we helped you get here” Edu summarised.
“yeah, you said those strange animals may come back” I added.

She suddenly sprang up and pined us to the wall with her power.

“you think I am crazy, you want to take me to your stupid planet!!” she shouted.
“if we wanted to we would have took you long ago, we have no fuel” Edu said.
“you need to calm ....”

Suddenly something banged the craft. Everyone was silent. Mendella released her grip.

“the Dranco is here” She alerted.

We looked through the windscreen. There was more than seven of them hovering around the craft, some were banging and scratching. They were ripping the craft apart.

“And he brought his friends” I added.
“we can't stay here, they will rip this craft in no time” she said.

One of the Drancos dived towards the windscreen, straight at Mendella. She did not use her powers for some reasons. But I quickly grabbed her and dived out of danger. Edu dived in the other direction.

The Dranco shattered the glass and entered the Spacecraft.
