Chapter 5

Megan's POV :

"foods ready!" Ashley yelled.

I finished braiding Alexis' hair and we walked into the kitchen.

There was a salad, garlic sticks, and spaghetti. I picked through my salad

"Soooooo, after dinner, I'll do the dishes and you need to go get dressed." He said pointing at me.

"Um why?" I asked a little confused.

"Secret. Go in my room and find some skinny jeans. They're in the bottom dresser and your hoodie is on my bed." he smiled.

His smile is so adorable so I just rolled my eyes and smiled back.

I took 3 more bites of the salad and excused myself from the table and went to get dressed.

I walked into his room and layed on the bed for a second. I inhaled deeply taking in the smell. It Smells like Cologne and alcohol. Weird combination but it actually smells really good.

Ashley's POV :
After Megan left I looked over to Alexis. Her plate was empty "do you want more?" I asked.

She shook her head no then looked down.

I pulled her chair closer to me. "What's wrong?"

She looked up at me with tears in her eyes "I love you Ashy. I don't want to leave." She hugged me tightly and didn't say another word.

*at the mall*

We Arrived at the mall. "Ready to go shopping?" I asked.

Alexis jumped up and down and Megan just sat there quiet like she was day dreaming.

I snapped my fingers and she jumped then looked over "what?"

"Time to go shopping" I said and got out of the car.

She hesitated a second and got out too. She grabbed Alexis' right hand and I grabbed her left.

Alexis laughed and pulled our hands closer so I held onto megan's hand instead. Megan looked over and Smiled.

Alexis walked to her so Megan let go of my hand and picked her up.

"no! Hold hands" Alexis practically screamed.

We both laughed and i grabbed her hand. "Better?" I said in a whiny voice.

She giggled and shook her head. When we walked in i could tell Megan was getting a little nervous so I squeezed her hand. Reassuring her that she'll be okay. We walked into a Disney themed toy store to buy Alexis some things.

She walked to a Cinderella dress and opened her mouth in awe. I bent down "you want to be Cinderella for Halloween?"

She shook her head and smiled. I looked at Megan "can you get her size in dress and shoe? I'm going to go find her a crown."

Megan started searching and I found this crown that would be perfect for her.

I walked back and showed her. Alexis jumped in excitement and hugged me tight.

"Do you want anything else?" I asked

She Walked around and picked out 6 black Leggings and 6 shirts.

At the check out the lady rang everything up and said "your total is $89.69"

"Ashley this is kind but you don't have to do this" Megan whispered to me.

I handed the woman my card and turned to her "I want to." I smiled.

I grabbed the bag and put my arm around Megan as she held Alexis' hand. We walked to the next store in the mall.
