The Bat Teacher

"I mean,you are perfectly capable of being in Slytherin."Hermione said as we walked to Transfiguration."I mean,you do seem pretty ambitious."
    "That is true..."I said.Hermione's the only person I told about what the sorting hat said to me.
    "I wonder where Harry and Ron are."I wondered.They weren't in the common room or the great hall this morning.
    "Well,I don't know,but I do know that I'm going to check out the library after classes."Hermione said.
    "Okay."I said,and we walked silently to our next class.

I sat down in the seat next to Hermione.I really hope Ron didn't do anything stupid!
    As I just started working,the door opened.As planned,Ron and Harry walked in.And McGonagall was in her cat animagus.I inwardly laughed at his reaction.
    "Good thing McGonagall's not here...."He said,and right then she leaped off her desk and changed back to her witch form.
    "That was amazing."Ron said awestruck,and I laughed.
"Where were you Mr.Potter and Mr.Weasley?"
"We got lost!"
"So I'll just have to turn one of you into a map,then?"She said,and they took a seat.

Our next class was Charms with Mr.Flitwick,and Hermione was paired up with Ron and me with Harry.He told us about the swish and flick,and Wingardium Leviosa.It seemed pretty easy,but everyone was struggling.
"No,Ronald.Its leviosa,not leviosar!"Hermione said.
"Well,your so smart,why don't you do it?"Ron said.As they kept arguing,I got back to my feather.
"Wingardium leviosa!"I said,and my feather skyrocketed into the air.Hermione's was right behind mines,but mines went further up.She huffed,and turned around in her seat.
"I bet you 60 galleons that they'll end up together by the end of year 7."I whispered to Harry.
"Oh,it's on!"He said,smiling at me,which I gladly returned.I looked at Seamus Finnigan on my other side,he kept waving his wand everywhere and saying the spell completely wrong.Biggest mistake ever.
BOOM!!!!!!!!!!
Seamus managed to explode his feather,right in our faces.
"Seriously,Seamus."I whined,and wiped my face on Harry's robes.

Our last class was potions.With the bat teacher.And Slytherins.Well,save the best for last,they say.We were all talking to people (with me and Malfoy arguing as usual.) when the bat stormed in.He had the same unwashed greasy black hair and black robes.I wonder how he looked when he was a student here.....
"There will be no foolish wand waving or silly incantations in this class.As such,I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science of the potion making. However, for those of you who possess the pre-disposition, I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses; I can tell you how to brew glory ,bottle fame, and even put a stopper in death. Then again, maybe some of you have come to Hogwarts in possession of abilities so formidable that you feel comfortable enough to not pay attention..."He said to the class.His words put me in a kind of trance.I always kinda liked doing potions and mixing things and stuff.Then I realised that he was talking about Harry in the last part,so I nudged him in his side.
"Mr.Potter....our new celebrity."He said,and I tuned out for a second.I came back to my senses when everyone started getting their cauldrons out.Ron looked royally pissed,and Harry looked disappointed.
"You will be making a simple curing potion for boils.You have an hour.Begin."
I quickly started working on my potion,Snape going around saying every bad thing he can about our potions.Except Malfoy and mines for some reason.

He called time,and me and Hermione's potions were the only ones that were successful.But he only talked about mines and Malfoy's again.I'm kind of creeped out by now.I can understand him liking Malfoy,he's the Slytherin suck up,but me?Why not one of my brothers?Does he respect girl power or something?

Ron was really mad at me,but I just shrugged it off and walked with Harry back to the common room.Ron said he was going to go find Dean Thomas,this boy he met yesterday that he befriended.Hermione is in the library right now.

Harry said he had to use the loo,so I waited for him to come out.Just my luck,Malfoy and his cronies came around the corner.
"What do you want,Malfoy."I said,rolling my eyes.
"Oh,nothing,just a little bit of payback for what you did yesterday."He told me.
"Are you sure you want to do that?You're going to be in the hospital by third year if you keep coming at me like this."I told him.I just want to go to the common room and relax by the fire.
Students were walking past and pushing and talking as I continued to wait for Harry.
"You're lucky there's people around,Weaslette."
"Oh,I'm so scared,Ferret."

Him and his cronies walked away and around the corner,and right as they did,Harry came out of the bathroom.
"Nice timing."I told him as we walked to the common room.
