-Chapter 17-
-Caspar's POV-
After a lot of drinks, every one of us was basically drunk or at least nearly drunk.
We decide to hit the dance floor, following Tyler's form.
Everyone starts dancing wildly, even me, except Oli of course.
After a few minutes I notice some girls starting to hit on Jim, no reason why they are, he's not a bad looking guy!
Joe seems to notice too as he grabs my arm and shakes it.
I look at him, concerned.
"The girls! And Jim!" Joe gasps.
I laugh, no matter how drunk I am, I know Jim by heart, "watch him."
We both watch as Jim stops dancing and stands still, he lifts a hang up to wipe his forehead, then laughs.
Joe drags us forward a little more, so we can hear what's being said.
"Eh, I kindly decline because I have an amazing beautiful wife waiting for me at home, but I'm glad you thought I was up to your standards." Jim struggles to say.
The girls nod and smile then walk away disappointed.
I smirk and turn my face towards Joe. He looks gobsmacked.
"See?" I say, "Jim is a trust worthy man, never doubt him."
Joe nods, agreeing with my knowledge. After that we get on with the partying.
I'm overall not surprised Jim declined those girls, even if he's so nice, he knows what to do at the right time and he knows who he dedicates his life to, Tanya.
-1am-
It's now hit 1am and Oli has instructed us out of the bar. He's leading us all home safely. While walking home, small conversation is made, considering Tyler and Troye were too busy to join if there even was a conversation.
Joe just watched them in awe, then whispers, "aren't they best friends?"
"Yeah, that happens between best friends sometimes." I reply.
"Yeah," Oli explains, "sometimes you both have an urge to love someone who appreciates you for you and won't replace you for an improved, stuck-up copy. Someone to trust with your life. They then realise that the person who meets their standards, are, surprisingly their best friend. I guess, I'm not sure though."
Joe listens to what he says intensely, "that's okay between best friends?"
Joe seems totally out of his mind, oh my.
"Yeah." Oli says.
"Until some gets hurt." Jim adds.
"I don't want anyone to get hurt." Joe frowns.
"No one will." I say.
We arrive home. As Oli unlocks the door we all pile in.
"Jim you have the couch, Joe and Caspar you are in Caspar's room, Tyler and Troye, just," he sighs, "go in Joe's room, don't make a mess."
Jim collapses on the coach as Tyler and Troye stumble down the stairs to Joe's room, slamming the door. Joe heads off to my room as well. I take a seat at the table watching Oli. He grabs a blanket and throws it over Jim, then makes a comfortable bed for himself on the floor. Everything is silent for a moment but small snores come from Jim.
He's a caring guy, Oli.
"Goodnight Caspar." Oli whispers.
"Night Oli." I whisper back.
I switch off the light and head to my room, I open the door being surrounded by darkness.
Thank god I know my room off by heart.
I stumble across things on the floor and land on the bed.
It looks like Joe has taken the place closest to the wall. I climb in beside him.
I stare at the ceiling for a while, silently.
"Would that ever happen between us?" Joe whispers.
"No, I don't think so." I whisper back.
"And if it ever did?" He whispers.
"We'd be okay, I guess." I whisper.
I feel Joe turn over, facing me. He then lightly plants a kiss on my cheek.
"Did you feel anything?" He whispers.
I shake my head, "I don't think so."
"Good." Joe whispers laying his head beside mine.
"Yeah, very," I whisper, "goodnight Joe."
Before I know it Joe is fast asleep, smiling to hisself.
