***Most of what the characters say is in the game, sorry if that's boring lol***

Sam's PoV

I wake up to a bright light. I squint and put my hand up to shield the source. The light goes away and I see Officer Jenkins standing over me, "Y'all got your 8 hours of sleep, time to get down to business." He says. I roll my eyes and sit up. I hear a few groans coming from the others. It was nice to get some shut eye without worrying about getting your head cut off.

"Now, where were we? Ah! Who's first?" Officer Jenkins ask. Mike sighs and stands up "Lets get this over with." He says, going into the interrogation room with the officer.

I try to hear what they're saying, but the wall was too thick. And Ashley's constant sniffling wasn't helping. I gave up and decided to.. Socialize..

Chris glances at me, then at Matt. His arm was still around Ashley. At least one good thing came from all this. They're finally together.

Mike's PoV

I decided to go first because I just want to get Jess and leave. I know thinks wont ever be the same but I'm not gonna be all depressed like everyone else.

I sit down in the metal chair. The whole room was grey, metallic, and smelled like heavy air freshener. I fidget quite a bit in my seat as the Officer gathers his questions. He looks at me.

"So, Michael.."

The interrogators swarmed me with questions. My head throbbed as I tried not to sound like we were all on drugs the whole time.

"What happened to... Emily?" They ask me.

Shit.

"Sh-She was infected.." I start. "She got bit. I-We thought th-that m-maybe she'd turn into one. I-I-I don't know! What w-was I supposed to do?? I tr-tried to save everyo-"

The officer stops me "It's okay Michael. Calm down." He says calmly. I grip the sides of the chair firmly. I was about to explode!

"What about Josh?" He asks me.

I take a deep breath.

"He was out of his fucking mind. He wanted to hurt us... A-and... I thought he was the one who attacked Jess.." I answer to the best of my ability.

"Where is he now?" Officer Jenkins asks me.

I sigh. "I dont know.."

He simply nods and gestures for me to exit "Please bring in Sam."
I nod and leave the room.

Sam looks up and walks towards me "How was it?" She asks me in a concerned tone. I shrug, "Eh. He wants you." I tell her. She takes a deep breath and walks in.

Sam's PoV

"Hello Samantha." The officer says with a slight smile on his face. I don't return the greeting and just sit down.

"Alright. Sam. Tell me all you can about what happened with Josh.." He commands.

I close my eyes for a brief moment.
"I thought we were close... After his sisters, he'd come talk to me.. He said I was the only one who understood him.... I thought... I thought we had a connection." I reply.

"If you need someone to talk to-" he begins.

"I'm fine-" I say.

"Sometimes, after a traumatic event-" he tries again.

"I said I'm fine." I say, coldly and louder than before. He nods and jots down a few notes. I stare at the table awkwardly, waiting for the next question.

"What do you know about the events that took place a year ago?" He asks.

"Well.." I start. "The others, pulled a prank on Hannah Washington. I-I tried to stop them... I tried to interfere... It wasn't enough. They pulled a cruel joke and she ran off. Beth followed. That's all I know." I say.

"All you know?" He asks.

I think back and remember what we'd found in the mines.

"No." I say. "No we found Hannah's diary... She lived.. Beth didn't make it.. Emily... Emily found.. Her head." I say, beginning to feel sick. Officer Jenkins doesn't seemed to be effected and waits patiently for me to continue.

"We found Beth's watch too." I finish.

"And do you have any of those items- well besides the head." He questions. I shrug, "I don't, but I don't know about the others." I say.

He nods again and writes on his notepad.

This time, I don't wait for a question.

"Listen to me.. I don't care if you believe me or not because you will.." I state, probably seeming mental. "You need to go down into the mines.. I've seen what's down there.. And I'd give anything to unsee it." I say, trying to suppress the horrific memories that kept clawing its way into my brain again and again.

I can't escape the thoughts.... The fear...

He nods once again "Alright. Thank you Samantha." He says, allowing me to leave. I get up and quickly flee the silver room. Everyone stares at me as I sit down next to Mike.

"You okay?" He asks. I nod, not saying a word.

After everyone had been questioned, it was already 9:46pm.

Officer Jenkins walks to us with his notepad. "Okay, here's the thing. This story is highly irregular, and I'm sure you already know that. So, you'll each be allowed one phone call and you have to stay in a jail cell for the next week until we get more information."

Of course, this came as a shock to us, but surprisingly, none of us protested. At least we'd finally be safe.

For now.
