I've been on this f***ing plane for 4 hours now. I'm soo bored. Sophie fell asleep a while ago, but for some reason I couldn't. I mean, i'm not scared of flying in a large aluminium box over nothing but sea, no land in sight...okay maybe a little, but it has never been this bad. I've traveled to loads of conventions, all by plane, all over the world. But I've never felt like this. I was scared, and I have no idea why.

I decided enough was enough. Reaching for my bag I got my sleeping pills out and downed a few with Sophie's left over water. I took a while for them to kick in but the eventually did and sleep over took me.

-:-:-:-:-:-:-

I woke up a few hours later. Sophie was playing a game on her phone, like normal. I shifted around in my uncomfortable seat trying to find my phone.

"Well morning to you too." Sophie stated condescendingly.

"Whatever. What time is it?"

"I dunno, but we land in 20 minutes...I think!" She didn't sound too confident so I asked the stewardess that walked by. We land in 10 minutes. Sophie all of a sudden shifted in her seat. I thanked the stewardess and asked what was wrong with her. "I'm nervous. I mean, I love Killian and all but what if when he meets me, he isn't interested or what if he's cheated on me..." She started to ramble so I butted in.

"Soph...Did he or did he not love the idea for us going to Ireland to meet him."

"Well, yeah."

"And didn't he offer for us to stay at his with his roommates."

"Yeeeaahh."

"And doesn't he message you every night saying 'Night Night Sweety Kiss Kiss!"

"Well, of course he does!"

"Then what have you got to worry about. None of my ex's never did any of that. Killian loves you okay, so stop being insecure or I will throw you from this plane." She giggled at that last bit. To all listeners in, I sounded deadly serious but only she knew I meant it as a joke. I received a few weird glances from other passengers, but I didn't care. I mean whats life without a little unwanted attention right.

We were just about to land. God I hated this part, no matter how many planes I get on, landing in the most horrible feeling ever. Sophie didn't mind it that much, she just sat there staring off out the window.

Eventually the plane stopped. We were now in Ireland. 4000 miles away from home.

The stewardess told us that the time was 11 am where we are and we may need to change the time on our devices. She also told us to stay in our seats until told otherwise. Sophie got her phone out and texted Killian to find out who was picking us up or if we had to get a taxi. He replied not long after and told us we needed to get a taxi as his car wouldn't start. I grabbed her phone and texted him:

Me: Hay Killian, this is Alex. What's wrong with your car?

Killian: Hay, For some reason the engine won't start.

Me: Can anyone come out to fix it?

Killian: No. Stupid car company can't come out till tomorrow as there branch is shut today. Why?

Me: Well, do you want me to have a look at it.

Killian: Sure thing. See you guys in a few, gotta clean the apartment. :)

Me: Kay.

I handed Sophie back her phone and she gave me a weird look.

"What?" She continued to look at me confused. "Seriously. What is it?"

"Nothing." She then turned her head and looked out the window of the plane.

"Seriously. We just landed. I'm not going to fight with you on our holiday. What is it?" I was getting annoyed with her childish attitude.

"Fine. I'm annoyed you took my phone without asking..."

"ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW... that's what you were annoyed about. The fact I used your phone."

"Yeah. I never do that to you..."

"No, you nick my laptop and use that without permission. You also use my cameras and video games without asking."

"Okay... lets not fight. I'm sorry. I'm just nervous okay."

"Okay." I'm glad that is over, we haven't even left the plane and we are arguing. "Lets just get out of this plane and act as if that never happened. Deal?"

"Deal." I gave her a hug just as the stewardess said we could now leave our seats and exit the plane. We leapt up and grabbed our over head bags and almost sprinted down the aisle. Once off the plane we headed to baggage collection.

It took about 3 minutes to find our bags and when we did find them it took us ages to navigate the airport.

When we finally escaped and I hailed a cab. Hauling our luggage into the cab we told him to drop us off at Athlone. The ride lasted almost an hour and costed nearly 100 euro. Killian told Sophie he would pay me back and would find us in the town center when we arrived.
