Jasmine Pov:

"So what are we gonna do?" I ask. Logan and I are sitting down in the basement. This is totally new for me. Logan and I never hang out alone. "Uhm, we could go eat somewhere first and later on, we could go see a movie. How does that sound?" he asked me. Sounds much like a date. I didn't say that out loud because I didn't want things to get weird and actually I wanted to just do something with a friend. Getting to know a different side of him was cool. "Sounds good to me" I said with a simple smile. "Good" he said and with that we left the house.

Logan drove us to a simple restaurant. It was a brick building with big windows, you could see the tables inside. It didn't look like there were a lot people of our age inside, maybe for the better because I was pretty sure they would start gossiping about me and Logan, while we were just friends. Friends who had dinner together in a really enjoyable restaurant. Above the door hung a big sign with the name of the restaurant on it: "La Mélodie d'amour" (The Melody of Love)

It didn't only look really cozy from outside also inside it was really comfortable. This didn't seem like a restaurant Logan would go to. It would be perfect for a first date. Screw those thoughts, Jasmine!

There were golden lamps shining and spreading light everywhere, the music was very pleasant and it felt like home. I loved it. "Wow Logan, this place is amazing!" I say impressed. "You think? I once came past here and I was starving so I tried there homemade lasagna and fell in love. I thought it was the perfect place to go with friends." Did he meant girlfriends? Or just friends? I shouldn't think about that but it kept my mind busy. Did he bring his date here sometimes? Was he seeing a girl but didn't tell us? Now last time he had a girlfriend he was so proud and told us like a billion times. Surprisingly, I felt better knowing he didn't have a girlfriend. It shouldn't feel so.

"Can I help you?" a sweet waitress with dark brown hair and a dress filled with flowers asked us polite. She had a sweet face and it suited the restaurant perfectly. "We'd like to have a table for two." Logan says and I nod. She gives us a wide smile and says we have to follow her. We get a table at the window, outside I see the busy street and the totally different mood. I look around and notice there are more people than I thought at first. There are only a few tables left empty. Logan and I were lucky."Enjoy you're evening" she looks meaningful and I really think she thinks were on a date. I looked around and saw a couple at the table next to us whisper something to each other and by the way they are looking at us I think it has to do something about me and Logan. Another waiter, a men this time, hands us the menu. He is not so tall, he's almost bold but he has a kind face and he speaks with a french accent. "Here you go miss, sir." he leaves us to choose. I look at the menu and see all those delicious stuff. A lot of french plates too, I guess it's related to the name of the restaurant which is also French. "I really can't decide everything up here looks so good!" I say, I'm really hungry. I think I could eat everything.

"I think I'll go with the homemade lasagna" I look at him with lifted eyebrows. "What?" he asks when he sees me looking like that. "You choose an Italian dish in a french restaurant?!" I say I found it very funny. "But it's delicious... But you know, just to please you I will choose something french" he winks at me and I giggle. He could be so sweet sometimes. It made me smile.

"That's better" I say. "But I still have no idea what I'm gonna eat." "Something French I hope" Logan says jokingly. "Seriously though, how am I ever gonna be able to make a choice?" There are like a hundred things on this menu. "Maybe we could ask the waiter?" Logan proposes and I have to admit that's a good idea. Logan calls our waiter. "Do you have suggestions? We have no idea what to pick..." "Of course, I will be right back" he says in his accent with a simple smile.

"So this is our special french menu" he hands it to us and gives us time to read it through. I read it and it sounds really yummy. "Sounds good to me" Logan says and I nod. "We'll take this" "I'll go tell the chef." he says and he goes to the kitchen. "But isn't this like really expensive?" I ask, all at sudden I remember I don't have much money with me. "Don't worry this is on me. I was the one to take you here and I'm still a gentle men you know" he winks at me and I start to blush. "Logan, really you don't have to do that" "Shh, I want to"

We filled the minutes that we wait for our meals with just talking about stuff. It is really cool to get to know him even better than I did before. Because we never get to hang out together without the rest. I loved them all but this was something I really enjoyed too. "So tell me how's it going with love?" he asked me all at sudden. We just talked about Mr Wytheville - our annoying Spanish teacher. I had no idea how he all at sudden choose to bring up this subject. Maybe I shouldn't take it so serious, he was my friend he was just curious. "I went out with Dan Miller last week but it didn't really work out, I mean he was so all over the place. I didn't even like him before the date. But when he came up to me and asked me out it was kinda sweet I mean he looked so adorable." Logan laughed and I had no idea why. "Why are you laughing?" I ask a little confused. He looks me in the eyes with an intens glare and says: "Jaz, going out with boys you don't like just because they are adorable isn't a good idea. I thought you could figure that out yourself" "I'm sorry I don't like to reject people. I'm a sweet girl you know" and after I said that he started to laugh even harder. I saw the tears in his eyes and at first I felt really offended but than I started laughing too. And it felt good. It'd been a while since I felt this good by a boy. Not that it meant I liked Logan... That would be wrong. He was such a sweet friend, nothing more definitely nothing less.

We still were laughing really hard when our waiter came up to us with our dishes. We both tried to stop laughing but we still couldn't keep it all inside. Logan was so much fun, this evening was so much fun and we hadn't even ate yet. "At first, the Blue Cheese, Pear and Walnut Salad. It are Candied walnuts avec blue cheese, pears and bell peppers served on a bed of romaine. Bon appétit!" he proclaimed before he left us eating. It looked delicious. Logan and I enjoyed the perfect French dish. The second course: Roast chicken stuffed with rosemary, fennel and olives served with potatoes, was as perfect! Like if I could marry food I would marry everything in this restaurant! Plus the chef because he did an amazing job! This restaurant deserved all the room in world. I doubt the restaurants in French are as good! Logan and I both made funny faces and we even start speaking french (or something that sounded like it) and we pretended to evaluate the food. It was so much fun. I felt a little bad when the dessert arrived not only because that meant the 'date' was almost over but also because Logan had to pay for this food! He wasn't even my boyfriend, which made me feel even worse about the whole situation. But than the dessert was putted right in front of my eyes and it was like I was in heaven. And by the look on Logan's face I saw he felt exactly the same way.

As dessert we got Moelleux - a delicious french dessert with chocolate flowing out of a sweet sponge cake with vanilla ice and fresh raspberries. The chocolate inside is warm and liquid. It was even better than it sounded. I didn't know what heaven tasted like but this was DEFINITELY heaven!
