You sobbed, curling up against the brick wall as tightly as you could, trying to block yourself from the world. It was all your fault.

You had gone to the library to research, the boys going out to look at a lead. When they didn't return about an hour later, you called Sam. Only for a vampire to pick up.

You didn't fully remember what the vamp had said, all you remembered was Sam's screams, Dean's cussing and threats in the background. The vampire has said something they caught your attention though- leave them alone or watched the boys get killed. That was when he had hung up.

But that was the problem- if you left them alone, Sam and Dean would either be dinner or be turned. But, if you went to save them, they would die.

You let out a breath, wiping the tears from your face as you dialed a number you never wanted to dial again. "Hello?"

"Daniel, it's Y/N. I hate to say this, but I need your help."

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Daniel leaned back in his seat, staring at you. "You really meant another game," he commented.

"I did. Do you believe me now when I say I'm out?"

"Of course I do, doll," Daniel replied, making you flinch at the old nickname. "By why tell me all this? You said you needed my help."

You swallowed the lump in your throat, sighing. "The two guys I work with, Sam and Dean, they got captured by a nest of vampires."

Daniel raised both eyebrows, jae falling slack. "And you want my help getting them back? Why me?"

"Because you owe me," you replied. "I've saved your life more times that you want to admit, so you help me get them back, we never have to speak again."

Daniel studied your face, suspicious. "I help you save two guys, and I don't owe you anymore?" You nodded. "You got a deal. What do we do?"

••••••••••••••••••••••••

You let out a breath, gripping the handle of your machete tight, looking over at Daniel. "You got everything?" you asked.

He nodded. "Machete for me, dead man's blood, two machetes for your boys, and everything else that makes me feel protected."

You nodded, about to stand and move to the front of the barn, when Daniel grabbed your hand. You looked down at him, about to ask what was wrong when he said, "You wouldn't do this for just two guys, Y/N. Which one do you love?"

You froze, tugging your hand out of his. "It's not your place to ask," you replied. "Now, lets get this thing started."

Daniel moved towards the back of the barn, sneaking as quietly as possible, while you walked confidentially towards the front doors, sliding them open with a simple push.

You smirked, seeing all the vampires freeze. "Hello, boys," you greeted, twirling the machete in your hand.

They all growled, slowing into crouches, giving you a view of the boys tied up in the back. You locked your jaw as you saw dried blood on the side of Sam's neck, Dean pulling at his restraints as he saw you. "You hurt Sam," you cooed softly. "Do you know what that means?"

"What?" one of the vamps hissed.

You chuckled, smiling evilly at them. "You're never gonna see the light of the moon again."

Then you lunged, swinging as hard as Sam had taught you. Other vamps tried to tackle you, but you dodged them easily, ducking, coming up behind them, then letting their head roll across the floor.

After the first few dropped, they tried attacking together. You ducked and weaved between them, slicing necks as you went. Before you knew it, Dean's back was against yours, his jaw locked and eyes burning.

You moved in sync with him, decapitating the nest quickly. Before you knew it, there were only bodies on the floor. You rushed outside, sighing when you saw Daniel helping Sam to the car. You moved to them quickly, wrapping Sam's other arm over your shoulders, helping Daniel set him down on the hood.

Your old partner stepped back as you placed your hands on either side on Sam's face, smiling as his eyes slowly opened. He smiled as he saw you, saying softly, "You came."

You nodded, letting out the breath you didn't know you had been holding. "I'll always come," you said.

He smiled, leaning into you more as you glanced back at Dean. Dean glanced at Daniel, stepping forward and taking your place. Sam muttered something that you couldn't hear, Dean replying as he dragged his younger brother to the impala.

You turned to Daniel, sticking your hands in your pockets. "Thank you for today, really."

He nodded, running his hands through his hair. "So we're good?"

"We're good," you replied. "Just don't get into trouble, okay?"

"You bet, " he replied, walking towards his car. "And Y/N? You should tell him."

Your throat went dry, watching him get in his car and drive off. Shaking your head, you moved back into the car, sliding into shotgun as you glanced back at Sam laying across the backseat.

Dean put the car into drive, pulling the impala out of the field.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••

You gently wiped Sam's neck, rinsing the washcloth in the bowl every so often. You smiled as Sam's eyes fluttered open, Sam smiling back at you."Hey," you greeted softly.

"Hey," he said back, his voice hoarse. You handed him a glass of water, letting his drink as you set the bowl aside, grabbing a few bandages. Once he was done with the water, you took the glass from him, laying his back down.

You could feel him watch you as you patched up his bite marks, focusing on the wound first. "You didn't have to call Daniel," he said after a moment.

"Yes I did," you replied. "If I tried that rescue alone we all would have died."

You went to stand, Sam's hand catching your own. You stayed as he sat up, looking up at you. "You sure you're okay?"

You smiled at how worried he was for you, when he was the one with holes in his neck. You cupped his cheek gently, stroking his jawline."I'm perfect now," you told him. Sam placed his hand over yours, intertwining your fingers. "I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't been able to rescue you," you whispered.

Sam's eyes slowly closed as he turned his head, kissing your palm gently. "When I saw you after you saved me...I thought I was seeing an angel," he told you.

You could feel your heart trying to beat out of your chest, your breath freezing in your throat. "I don't know what I'm doing, Sam," you said after a minute, looking away from him.

Sam reached out with his other hand, turning your face towards his. "I love you, Y/N," he said, staring into your eyes. "That's all I need to know. If I know that, if you know that, we can get through anything."

You smiled, nodding. "I love you too, Sam."

He smiled, using his hand on your cheek to pull you down, gently brushing his lips against yours.

You slowly returned the kiss, smiling as you felt the familiar sparks when Sam wrapped an arm around your waist. You pulled away after a minute, standing in between his legs, foreheads resting against each other. "We can do this," you whispered.

"As long as we're together," Sam agreed.

"Together," you whispered, leaning down to kiss him again.
