“Hello, my name is Desi” she said.

                “Hello. My name is Matt”

“I saw you eating all alone over here and thought you could use some company, if you’d like” Desi said, trying not to sound desperate.

“Of course! Take a seat” Matt pointed at the chair across from him.

They talked for hours, until they were kicked out when the restaurant closed.

-TWO WEEKS LATER-

Desi and Matt are becoming great friends. They learned a lot about each other the past couple of weeks. Matt asked Desi to meet him at the beach before the sun set.

                “Desi, I have a question.”

“Yes Matt?” Matt got down on one knee and pulled out a ring. It had an oak twig band and the biggest acorn Desi has ever seen.

                “Desi, will you marry me?”

“Of course I will!” Desi exclaimed.

“Let’s get married tomorrow! Why wait?”

-THE NEXT DAY-

                “I do.”

“You may now kiss the squirrel.”

Just as Matt was about to kiss Desi, a large snake came by and gobbled up Matt. The snake then slithered away with Desi’s new groom in its stomach. A few hours later the snake threw up and Matt rolled out. Just when he thought the torture was over, a panda strolls up and picks Matt up with its teeth. Dangling by his tail from the panda’s mouth, he is carried four miles back in the direction he came. The panda then drops Matt, who is later picked up by an elephant wearing a pink tutu and tiara. The elephant drops him in a watering hole and Matt swims to the bottom, trying to find the cake shaped submarine he lost a few months ago. When he finally finds it he drives it back to shore. He then realizes that he is in the exact spot where he just got married. Only, no one is there. He goes back to his tree to dry off and change his clothes, but remembers that he moved all of his stuff to Desi’s tree before the wedding.

Once he arrives to his new home, he takes off his jacket and sits at the dining room table. Desi emerges from the kitchen with a large plate of acorn and berry casserole.

“Oh, I didn’t hear you come in. I just finished making dinner. How was your little adventure?” Desi asked.

“Oh, same-old, same-old. Nothing  out of the ordinary.”
