I sighed and walked out of the cell slowly, bracing myself for Jenny's reaction. But there was nothing, the calm before the storm.

I sat down in the backseat of Eli's car, watching as Jenny climbed into the driver's seat and drove off, stopping at a gas station first where Eli got out and started pumping gas.

"Well this has been nice huh?" I asked into the awkward silence. "Just us three, hanging out and driving around." More awkward silence. "Jen talk to me please."

"I don't wanna talk to a criminal." She said, her voice quiet.

"Oh so now I'm a criminal?!" I yelled.

"Rose! You shot someone!!" She screamed, turning in the seat.

I teared up, opening the car door and stepping out. Jenny did the same as I stormed out of the parking lot and down the main road.

I could hear her calling my name frantically, even trying to start the car to follow me, but nothing did. I walked alone down the road, shivering and crying, all alone.
