I step out of the door and look quietly to my left. Nothing. That's all I can see. I step further into the hallway, being careless with my footing. I turn right and run into something solid. A run my hands up and down the thing that is in my way, that's when I realise that its not a Something, but a someone. I step back hoping they didn't fell me running my hands along them.
I take a few more steps back, then quickly turning on my heal. I start running hoping, praying, that they don't follow me. But its too late. I hear heavy footsteps behind me. I run harder, faster. I stumble a few times, tripping over debris, as well as my own feet. I keep going, knowing that if i get caught, I will not survive much longer.
I don't hear any shouting. Surely, if something was chasing me, they would be shouting? Just the sound of heavy pounding on the cement floor. I turn another corner, left then right.I have no idea where I am going or where I have already been. I just keep running, hoping I wont get caught. I see a door up ahead on the left.I decide to dive in, getting away from the thing that is chasing me. Running faster than I ever have before. When I'm a few steps away from the door, I slow down. i shove the door open and jump inside, quickly closing the door behind me. I press my ear against the door and I hear the thing that was chasing me run past.
I sigh and slump against the door, all the energy drained from my body. I look up, to take in my surroundings in this new room. It is dark, so I can only see about a few centimetres in front of me. I get up and slide my hand over the wall until I find a light switch. My hand runs into something, I have found it. I switch the light on and everything is white for a few seconds, then goes black again as I loose consciousness.
